But you know what else is making my heart sing? Ballet! ✨ This season is just bursting with fab dance events and opportunities in our beloved Walsall, and I'm here to tell you all about them!

This summer, forget the festivals, forget the beaches (though a splash in the water in a tulle skirt never hurts!), because we've got a truly magical ballet line-up brewing.

Walsall Summer Ballet Showcase:
Kicking off the season with a bang is the annual Walsall Summer Ballet Showcase. Hosted by the iconic Walsall Arts Centre, this is a veritable feast for the senses. Expect everything from captivating classical ballet performances to exhilarating modern interpretations and jaw-dropping contemporary works.
But here’s the real kicker, darlings: the Showcase is all about local talent. 🎭 Get ready to be blown away by the next generation of dancers, from up-and-coming ballet school stars to established professionals – all hailing from the Walsall region.

Get Your Groove On: Ballet Classes with a Twist! #tutuseason
Okay, I’ve gotta admit it, sometimes I feel like just throwing on my leotard and totally going wild! This summer, we can combine our love of ballet with our love for all things fun! 💃🏻
The Walsall Dance Academy is hosting a series of summer classes that are just plain awesome! Think: disco-themed ballet, where we learn moves from the golden era of disco. We're talking high kicks, funky footwork, and the occasional grapevine, all set to iconic disco beats! 🎶 (I’m already picturing myself channeling Donna Summer!).
They're also running *‘Summer Serenade’, an open-air ballet class series, right in the heart of Walsall!* Think fresh air, sunshine, and the sounds of the city as our backdrop, as we master our pirouettes and arabesques. And best of all, the classes are for ALL levels – no matter your age or experience!

This summer, the Walsall Arts Centre is holding open ballet auditions! 🤩 Think: the stage is your oyster! You've got the talent, now you just need to show it off! 🤩 Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, this is your chance to join the ballet community of Walsall.
I’ve always been a strong advocate for pushing boundaries, and this is your opportunity to dance your heart out and **take centre stage.
