Ballet En Pointe - The Perfect Dance Shop in Maidstone
Hello fellow dance enthusiasts! As a professional ballerina and blogger, finding the perfect dance wear is a vital part of my life. Let’s face it, the right attire can not only make you feel confident but also improve your performance. Recently, I embarked on a journey to discover the best dance shop in Maidstone, and let me tell you, I was absolutely delighted with what I found.
Stepping into Ballet En Pointe felt like stepping into a ballerina’s wonderland. The shelves were overflowing with everything a dancer’s heart could desire – a haven for ballerinas like me. I’m pretty sure my eyes went a bit wide when I took in the selection.
First up, let’s talk about those magical ballet shoes. The selection at Ballet En Pointe was nothing short of phenomenal! They had a variety of pointe shoes from renowned brands like Bloch, Grishko, and Gaynor Minden – everything to cater to the individual needs and preferences of dancers of every level. I love that they had a specialist who gave me advice about what styles and sizes of shoes would suit me and my feet best, and who can recommend the correct type of shank and leather.
Speaking of individual needs, Ballet En Pointe understands that each dancer is different, and their size and fit guidance makes the whole experience that much better. There’s no awkward squished feeling – they have sizes that actually fit! This is what I call a level of service that takes into account that you are actually a person with feet! (Shocking right?)
Now let's move onto something I’m always excited about – tutus! These are my weakness, and this is definitely a must-see for any tutu enthusiast! Ballet En Pointe doesn't just have any old tutu. This is a place for those seeking unique pieces and there are definitely some options to choose from. They offer everything from the traditional and classic styles to the latest trends. It’s a good thing they’re lovely to look at too, otherwise, I’d be in a bit of trouble.
They offer romantic and billowing romantic tutu styles - think tulle and grace. Then they have the dramatic and intricate styles in their selection. The ones I fell for are the classical "layered-tulle" designs and then there’s the dramatic "pancake-style" - if you want to make an impact, this is the style to choose. I’m planning on making a visit to Ballet En Pointe with my dance class, because who wouldn’t love to get a good look at some tutu-fabulous items?
Leotards – You Name it, They’ve Got It.
As a dancer, you spend an awful lot of time wearing leotards, so having a shop like Ballet En Pointe nearby is great news! It’s a necessity. For starters, it’s an experience in itself to enter the shop because their wide variety of styles and colours made me giddy with choice. But let’s talk about what matters the most. Quality, and this shop knows all about it. They stock the best leotards made of comfortable and high-quality materials like nylon and lycra, designed to make sure we dance to the very best of our ability and also remain comfortable.
Leotards are no joke at Ballet En Pointe and their customer service makes choosing that much easier. For those of us who get overwhelmed with so much to choose from, their friendly staff offers expert guidance – it is no easy feat finding the perfect leotard for you! They have some of the latest styles as well. Ballet En Pointe takes style and functionality to another level, that’s something I’m very particular about.
You’ve got a choice of styles. They’ve got the basics with different sleeve lengths and the all-important different neckline options. I can say with complete confidence that you won’t leave without having at least one leotard in your basket.
Accessories and More
Ballet En Pointe is more than just pointe shoes, leotards and tutus - think everything a dancer might need – I was on a mission to make the ultimate purchase list – for a while at least.
From leg warmers to hair buns and dance bags, it’s truly got all the bases covered! Let’s face it, a dance outfit wouldn't be complete without some great accessories and what’s wonderful is they offer accessories from leading brands like Capezio and Bloch. There is something for everyone.
For example, their tights selection is another one of their key highlights - great for both beginners and those dancers at a more advanced level. They come in all colours too. I've found it hard to resist those striking bright coloured tights - it's almost impossible not to take a few pairs of tights with you. I’ve got to keep a tight grip on the purse strings in this place.
Another favourite is their collection of dancewear for boys. We need to ensure everyone is stylish when they’re dancing. Whether it’s boys’ leotards, t-shirts, or tights - there are styles to choose from - the best bit? They cater to all ages from tots to teens.
Ballet En Pointe - Making Dancers Smile
Ballet En Pointe, you have certainly impressed me with your amazing selection and knowledgeable and friendly staff. As someone who has a serious weakness for all things ballet, it really felt like walking into a dancer’s dream world. I highly recommend that you make this your first stop for any of your dancewear needs. It’s all about a perfect fit, comfortable attire, and that wonderful ballet buzz!
A Few of My Favourite Finds
• Capezio’s Demi Pointe shoes - these are an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to try out some more advanced moves - they make it a lot easier.
• Grishko’s Professional Pointe shoes - a ballet girl's best friend, in my book.
• Bloch’s classic leotards - you can’t beat the classics. There are styles to suit all body types - check them out.
• A pastel blue tulle tutu. A classic that’s sure to bring out the princess in every ballerina!
