The famous choreographer Marius Petipa was captivating audiences across Russia with a sensational version of “The Sleeping Beauty”, full of magical woodland scenes, swirling gowns and spectacular jumps. Can you just picture the sheer wonder of the Sleeping Beauty waking up to a prince in shimmering, romantic ballet costume?! Oh to be there with my front-row tutu!

Of course, any trip through time wouldn't be complete without a little peek at the exquisite fashion. 1893 saw some fantastic silhouettes, full of sweeping skirts and flowing sleeves!
