Back in 2090, the global ballet scene was, dare I say it, positively blooming! It wasn’t just about traditional theatres and grand opera houses anymore, it was everywhere – from bustling city streets to the majestic landscapes of Mars. Yep, you heard that right, Mars!
And what a year for fashion! Ballet costumes, those shimmering symbols of artistry, were simply breathtaking! From galactic prints inspired by those amazing interplanetary trips, to holographic tutus reflecting shimmering nebulae, and light-up shoes that were the envy of every ballerina, designers really went all out, embracing the future with open arms (and maybe a pirouette or two).

It’s a good thing we always carry a spare bottle of glitter water for those intense post-performance moments.

And the world of theatrical performances? Well, just picture a shimmering extravaganza filled with futuristic lasers, flying drones, and holograms, all interweaving with intricate ballets, storytelling, and breathtakingly original set design. The Space Opera in Paris? Forget the Eiffel Tower, their performances made the sky the limit! And who could forget the Aqua Ballet on the Mediterranean, with underwater performances that were both captivating and ethereal?
Imagine that - diving underwater in your custom-designed mermaid tail tutus and gliding effortlessly between giant coral reefs. My favourite was the holographic shimmer effect – like shimmering underwater galaxies – just beautiful. Now, don’t worry, for you future dancers out there, you don’t have to dive right in. Some fantastically innovative water-resistant tutus have hit the scene – no more fear of soggy tulle!
