From New York to London, drag was on the brink of a truly sensational metamorphosis. Just think, RuPaulās Drag Race had already blessed us with Season 9, and we were all living for the glorious fashion and sassy queenspiration!
My Time-Travelling Tutu Took Me to...
- London, UK: Oh, darling, where else would I be than in the heart of it all, in Londonās West End? The air crackled with anticipation, the iconic Soho haunts were abuzz, and the legendary G-A-Y was practically bursting with fierce divas and dazzling outfits! I danced the night away at the iconic drag extravaganza, āThe Divine!,ā and got to meet some of the most legendary names in the drag world. Letās just say, I felt the true power of Drag in this magnificent, electric atmosphere.
- New York City, USA: My tutu whisked me across the pond to the vibrant heart of New York City! I couldnāt resist popping in to catch a show at the iconic Stonewall Inn ā the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, you know! Drag Queens were always at the forefront of the fight for equality, and witnessing this iconic spot with my own eyes filled me with so much pride, honey.
The Drag Scene Was...
- Popping, sizzling, and everything in between! Drag queens were bursting with creativity, reinventing their style, and pushing the boundaries of expression, honey! It was a beautiful sight to see, the energy in every venue was positively electrifying, and I felt myself wanting to rip off my tutu and take the stage alongside them!
- Globally diverse, fierce and fearless! Across the world, drag was breaking through barriers, honey! We saw the explosion of international drag talent on social media, pushing the boundaries of what a āDrag Queenā can be, and proving that we were united in our passion for performance and individuality!
