Post #1427: A Pink Tutu Journey Through Time! ✨ 2038-11-11 ✨

Hiya darlings! It's your favourite Derbyshire drag queen, Emma, here! And wouldn't you know it, it's time for another fabulously sparkly trip back in time with your gal! As always, I'm ready to hit the stage, er... the time travel portal, wearing a stunningly fluffy pink tutu, and ready to see what glorious, glamorous drag events await!

This month, the magical threads of time have transported us to 2038, November 11th! Isn't it exciting, just thinking about what drag was like nearly two decades from now? I can feel the sequins already! 🀩

Let me tell you, the world of drag in 2038 is more diverse than ever! Imagine drag shows taking place on Mars! I'm so proud of the progress our community has made! From the glitter-tastic drag queen astronauts strutting their stuff in zero gravity to the high fashion drag performances hosted in underwater venues, we really are living in a glamorous, out-of-this-world time. ✨

But hold on, let's start with some terrestrial delights before we get too cosmic!

2038 Drag in Derbyshire

To kick off our time-traveling escapade, let's start where it all began for your gal – back in Derbyshire! My dear friend, the fantastically fabulous, drag queen extraordinaire, Honey Bunny, has launched the "Derbyshire Drag Hall of Fame!" It's the most fantastic homage to all the incredible drag queens who have come from this beautiful county! Just picturing it all, you've got Queen Bee, Diva Devine, and all the drag legends. Oh, I could tell you stories all day about my adventures with them!

Of course, the Derbyshire Drag Hall of Fame is no ordinary hall. Honey Bunny, with her extraordinary creative flair, had it built inside a former limestone mine! I must say, the crystal chandeliers that dangle from the cavernous ceilings make for a truly mesmerizing backdrop for all those dazzling costumes.

On the day I arrived in 2038, a magnificent drag ball was being held. Think, Moulin Rouge meets Pride & Prejudice! It was simply unforgettable! So many amazing drag looks - feather boas bigger than I've ever seen, sequined catsuits, and tutus galore! Honey Bunny even had the amazing idea of letting some of the guests, dressed to the nines, get to actually sit in a "pink Cadillac" (imagine it! a giant hot pink car carved from a single chunk of rock!) as they descended the staircase towards the main performance space.

Needless to say, I took the stage in a glorious, hand-stitched tutu and pink feather boa combination, the kind I would only ever wear on a very special occasion (like, for instance, time-traveling!). My set was a mash-up of the most fabulous disco anthems, a tribute to all the drag legends who came before me. I really put my heart and soul into that performance and it felt so special. The crowd cheered, my costume shimmered, and for a moment, everything was pure magic! ✨

Across the Pond! ✨ Drag Extravaganzas Around the Globe!

Now, how about we get those engines going again and take a quick jaunt across the Atlantic Ocean?

London! Ah, London! This magical city always knows how to put on a show. And the world of drag is absolutely thriving! We landed at Drag Queen World, a magical place where everything is pink, glittery, and a tad extravagant! Just walking around, you'll see people in fabulous costumes. They’re not just attending a show. This place is their home. You feel like you're at a glamorous convention, a huge drag festival! But the best part? They actually have the biggest pink tutu boutique in the entire world! I bought a dozen new ones! And there is a pink tutu parade, an actual, official street festival happening every week. Of course, I got to dance with all the dancers, with those wonderful tutus whirling, it's like a scene straight from Swan Lake, but with sequins! πŸ’–

Under the Sea and Beyond: Drag Shows From Planet Earth to the Final Frontier!

Now, imagine this, we hop onto a sleek futuristic spaceship for a little interstellar travel! We’re heading towards the International Space Station – for a very special Drag event!

"The Stardust Drag Extravaganza," they call it! Imagine a dazzling drag queen with sparkly silver face paint and a massive, glittering space suit strutting down the main hallway! They did their entire routine in zero gravity, all the glitter floating! What a truly fantastic event!

The entire international space station turned into a vibrant, glowing stage under a blanket of stars. They're broadcasting live on planet earth so anyone on the globe can watch the event! This just proves that drag, and love, is truly universal! πŸ’–

And guess what? In our exploration of the cosmic landscape, we even managed to stop by Dragworld Luna! This incredible moon colony is completely built and themed in the fashion of a "Drag Bar." It is like one enormous giant pink flamingo shaped cocktail lounge, filled with pink feathers and sequined decorations. The Drag Queens are even taking advantage of the moon's lower gravity, which means they can do higher, more elaborate spins!

My Take on the World of Drag in 2038!

Oh darlings, where do I even begin?! I truly have been amazed and blown away. This drag journey has been such an unbelievable whirlwind of fabulousness! This journey into 2038 made me realize drag has just grown even stronger through the years, evolving into this truly universal, creative art form, full of life and passion. From a shimmering, underground hall in Derbyshire to the cosmic drag extravaganzas of a space station, drag continues to amaze, inspire, and make the world a little bit brighter and more fabulous! βœ¨πŸ’–
