Now, before we get to the drag extravaganza happening on this very date, lemme give you a bit of a rundown of my latest adventures in the magical time-travelling pink tutu. As usual, the only thing pinker than this tutu is my passion for all things drag - from the fabulous to the fierce, from the glamorous to the downright gut-busting.
My recent travels took me to 1980s New York City, and oh darling, let me tell you, the drag scene was poppin'! We had everything from the disco balls to the high-energy performances, with a dash of leather and glitter for good measure! I spent my time there learning the moves from the legends of the time - a real masterclass in stage presence and how to work that runway, honey!
Now, back to 2041! You see, every month I have to work my way around paying for my fabulous adventures, so I spent a few weeks dazzling the locals of my very own Derbyshire in the latest edition of the fabulous “Derbyshire’s Got Drag" competition. I even convinced my mother to wear a pink tutu! I mean, come on, she's my biggest fan! Of course, after an unforgettable final performance where I belted out a fabulous rendition of "All That Jazz," I walked away with the grand prize - a big fat cheque to keep this travelling queen in pink and sparkly for another year!
So, now we are all ready for a journey into the wonderful world of drag in 2041!
Drag in 2041: The Rise of Drag Beyond the Stage
2041, darlings! Imagine, drag has permeated every aspect of our lives, from the stage to the streets, and beyond. From fashion campaigns featuring trans-feminine drag royalty, to Drag King workshops taught at the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art - yes, darling, the world of drag is on the up!
You see, darling, we're no longer just seeing drag queens strutting their stuff on stage; the drag movement has permeated into fashion, music, TV, politics, and even education. The year is a landmark celebration of 150 years since the official "legalization of drag," which was a turning point for queer rights, the abolishment of all gender-based discrimination laws in the western world. You wouldn’t know the struggles the queens in the 1970s had with prejudice and hate if someone didn't tell you!
Drag and the Digital World: Pink Tutu’s Digital Dreams!
We all know how much the world of online drag has blown up - with Dragtok, InstaDrag, and Drag-Only reality TV shows, the opportunities for queens to showcase their talent have never been greater! On this particular date, May 2041, we see a massive upswing in online drag with the launch of "QueenSpace," a completely immersive VR experience where audiences can interact with their favourite queens. Imagine: you can have a one-on-one makeup tutorial with Aquaria, sip digital tea with Trixie and Katya, or maybe even have a drag battle with Bianca del Rio herself, all from the comfort of your own home! It’s a dream come true!
As you’re reading this, darlings, a new virtual Drag-A-Thon is underway – and of course, this pink-tutu wearing queen is already dressed and ready to join in! This year’s "Virtual Drag Extravaganza" aims to raise millions of dollars for LGBTQIA+ organizations worldwide! With every click, every heart, and every comment, drag is leaving a real impact on our world!

You see, my goal, my absolute life's ambition is to make sure everyone gets to feel the magical joy of a twirling pink tutu. Why?
