Alright, darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing time traveller, Emma, back with another peek into the dazzling history of drag! Today, we're whipping up a little bit of the 2058 11 cocktail, so buckle up your sparkly stilettos and hold onto your wigs!

Before we jump back to the future, I'm fresh from a stunning drag show right here in Derbyshire. Let me tell you, these local queens were serving looks, death drops, and attitude – everything a drag-loving soul could dream of!

Speaking of dreams, darling, today we’re flying through time in my magical pink tutu. We're about to dive headfirst into the drag scene of 2058. Are you ready for the futuristic fashion, cutting-edge performances, and, of course, the fabulous looks?

The Year is 2058!

Let’s just say, darlings, things have gotten wild in the world of drag since we last met! 2058 is an age of futuristic, daring looks! You could practically say that the whole world has embraced drag. Gone are the days when only a select few were allowed to enter the exciting realm of drag. Everyone can join in, have fun and let their freak flag fly!

And as the drag world embraces everyone, everyone in turn embraced pink! Everywhere I went, pink was absolutely everywhere! Not only on clothing but it had bled into makeup, hair dyes, and even neon street signs! Oh! Did I tell you about the drag balls? I must say, darling, they were sensational, each ball pushing boundaries with costumes, performances and drag stories!

From Neon Nights to Galactic Glitters

The biggest trend in drag right now seems to be… holo-drag! Can you even imagine the glitter and glamour of performing with holographic makeup and costumes?!

I had a delightful time on my travels - all thanks to my magical, time-travelling pink tutu! And, as you know, nothing goes better with holo-drag than a pink tutu! As you know darling, I am always promoting my love for my signature item and I’ve noticed this colour scheme popping up at almost every drag event. Even in this future world of shiny metallic and neon clothes, you always see that classic pink tutu, and that, my loves, is simply fabulous!

Of course, you wouldn’t want to go through time without the perfect pair of holographic platforms! Even when time travelling through a black hole, darling, you should never forget about footwear.

What was happening in the world of drag in 2058?

Right, time to bring on the tea. 2058 was a whirlwind year for the drag world, filled with spectacular drag shows, glamorous balls, and boundary-pushing performers. In New York, drag became part of a cultural movement as well as a mainstream art form. Imagine it, darling, drag is part of history classes now!

And in Paris! Oh, Paris! Where, to my delight, they hold Drag Queen Drag Racing. Drag Queens speeding down the streets in their high heels, competing against each other in dazzling couture outfits? I had a time travelling ball!

Across the globe, things were as dramatic, fierce and fabulous as ever. On 11 November 2058, the “Drag Beyond the Stars” world tour came to town, featuring drag kings, drag queens, non-binary performers, drag creatures, the whole shebang! This mega-tour took performers from London to Tokyo, and everywhere in between. The drag stage was absolutely ablaze!

Now let me share with you an amazing show! Did I tell you about “Galactic Goddess” a Drag Ball? Think of all the glitter you could possibly want, all wrapped up in futuristic costumes! Think planets, think neons, think holographic make-up and the stars! Yes, it’s everything you could ever imagine in one evening.

But my favorite, darlings, has to be the return of Drag Brunch! You’ve gotta imagine what a Drag Brunch could be like 70 years into the future? Holographic projected drag queens singing, drag hosts serving tea with lasers! And I just HAD to put on my pink tutu and enjoy it with all of you! It was fabulous.

Now, before I take a trip in my time machine, darling, I must say 2058 had a really wonderful sense of community. They really were all about inclusivity and just had a fantastic time doing drag. And everyone is wearing their own beautiful variations of pink! The vibrant shades of magenta, fuschia, pink and coral all blending together and creating the most exquisite palette for a drag queen! What more could you ask for, darlings?

So, as my time-traveling pink tutu transports me back to the year 2023, I say, stay fabulous, darlings! Make sure to live your truth, spread joy, and wear pink. Always.
