Walsall: Tutu Fashion in the Autumn Air! #tutufashion
Hey lovely dancers! It's Emma here, and as the leaves start to turn, and the air gets crisp, it's time to swap our summer ballet clothes for something a bit more autumnal! Now, you know how much I adore tutu fashion, and autumn is the perfect season to embrace that inner ballerina with some gorgeous styling. So grab a pumpkin spice latte and let's dive into the world of tutus and ballet-inspired outfits this season!
The Perfect Tutu For You:
When it comes to autumn, it’s all about rich, warm tones and textures. Ditch the light, airy summer fabrics and go for something with a bit more weight – think velvet, lace, or even a thicker tulle that whispers “autumn” rather than screams “summer.” Now, I’m a sucker for pink, and in autumn it transforms beautifully with some warm tones. Think a dusty rose tutu with maroon accents or a blush pink tulle paired with a deep burgundy top – gorgeous!
But the magic of tutu fashion is all about finding what works best for YOU. And don't forget that even in autumn, a classic black or navy tutu always remains a chic and versatile choice. Paired with the right accessories, you can go from sophisticated and chic to bohemian and edgy with a simple colour change.
My Favourite Autumn Tutu Looks:
Let me paint you a picture – imagine a beautiful Victorian park, fallen leaves crunching beneath your feet, the crisp autumn air swirling around you, and you, rocking the perfect autumnal ballerina look!
Here’s how to create that look:
Look #1: The Romantic Ballerina:
- A blush pink tutu (remember the blush with maroon combo?)
- A flowy, long-sleeved velvet top in a deep red or burgundy shade.
- Brown leather ankle boots with a slightly chunky heel, adding a touch of "autumnal edge".
- For an extra dash of "romantic ballerina" vibes, a vintage-inspired beret, some dainty gold jewellery and a beautiful embroidered clutch bag.
Look #2: The Edgy City Ballerina:
- A classic black tutu, or a black tulle skirt with a ruffled bottom (that layered tulle adds extra texture!)
- A leather biker jacket, throwing some urban edge into the mix.
- A pair of high-top Converse trainers for a rebellious, cool-girl vibe (but hey, you can swap those for ankle boots too!)
- An oversized black turtleneck jumper underneath the jacket will give it a sleek and sophisticated look, and don’t forget some dramatic smokey eye makeup!
Look #3: The Colourful Bohemian:
- A midi-length tutu in a burnt orange or ochre hue – remember that textured, slightly thicker tulle? That's what I'm thinking here.
- A simple long-sleeved white blouse tucked in at the front to give a more defined shape.
- A chunky brown knitted cardigan (or if you are daring, a chunky knitted sweater!).
- Over-the-knee suede boots with a small heel will complete this whimsical boho vibe.
- Now for a real touch of bohemian magic – add a few headbands with faux flowers and some chunky wooden necklaces.
Walsall, my Style Inspiration:
So, what makes these tutu outfits so relevant in Walsall, you ask? Well, here in Walsall, we have an abundance of places to explore and make these outfits look truly fabulous!
Firstly, there’s the magnificent Walsall Arboretum. Think strolling around the lake, admiring the autumn leaves, the crisp air filling your lungs, and looking absolutely stunning in your Tutu and boots ensemble. This park is absolutely perfect for taking Insta-worthy pics!
Secondly, Walsall Town Centre has a real charm about it. Think those cobbled streets and gorgeous vintage stores. I love how these locations blend vintage charm with modern trends and it's just where my tutu fashion comes alive. Plus, the coffee shops and little independent shops are great spots for a cute selfie!
Tips and Tricks For Perfect Tutu Style:
Here are a few extra tips for rocking that autumnal ballerina style:
- Layering is your friend: Start with a base layer of something warm, like a long-sleeved tee or a turtleneck. Add a cardigan, sweater, or even a jacket on top. You can adjust based on the temperature, creating stylish and cosy looks.
- Texture, texture, texture: From corduroy trousers to a chunky cable-knit sweater, adding texture adds that "fall" feel.
- Accessories make the look: Statement earrings, a chunky scarf, a vintage broach… don't be afraid to add a touch of extra.
- Footwear is key: Boots are essential! They give you that grounded, autumnal feel and can elevate any tutu outfit.
Confidence is your superpower: You don’t need to be a professional dancer to wear tutu fashion, it's all about your attitude! Rock those outfits, show off your own style, and have fun!
