Darling, the most recent danse performances have really given us so much to ponder this month!
Oh my dears! Donât get me started! The tutu has been an utter sensation! From the divine **Ballet Russesâ** production of âThe Rite of Springâ where the glorious **Marie Taglioniâs** tutu had all the right swishy pouffy-ness to a delightful performance of âThe Nutcrackerâ with the fabulous Anna Pavlova who simply, effortlessly, moved in a classic, beautiful tutu.
The little number was divine â delicate yet with plenty of frou frou for a classic performance. And how utterly delectable were the pink tulle and feathered extravaganza of the glorious â**Corps de Ballet**â of **the Paris Opera** during âSwan Lake.â Oh my darlings! So divine!
The other truly breathtaking piece was the spectacular performance of â**Giselleâ**, where Margot Fonteynâs lovely costume showcased some serious design. So sophisticated darling! Truly an original and stunning combination of tulle, with subtle embellishment! An exquisite combination of tulle, white and black and oh, it just oozed beauty! So wonderfully romantic with just enough white.
And of course we canât forget the divine **Alicia Markova** â her utterly divine classic âwhite swanâ number. A lovely example of traditional design, but beautifully modern at the same time. Oh it was divine!
Let's hope the next month brings us a similar tutu filled celebration of ballet.
