Oh Darling! Tutu Chic - The hottest trends from April
The Spring season has most definitely arrived in the world of Ballet fashion. From the latest **Balmain** designs gracing the runway at the **Grand Palais**, to the charming **Alice + Olivia** collection at **Lincoln Centre**, it seems every fashion house has succumbed to the elegant lure of the tutu this April.
As ever, the **Royal Ballet** were leading the way with their **Royal Opera House** production of "The Sleeping Beauty", featuring costumes from **Maria Grazia Chiuri** for **Dior**, now Creative Director of **Dior Women** in Paris, she has most definitely left her signature style on this timeless ballet. These gowns, with their exquisitely crafted bodices and tiers of perfectly ruffled tulle were simply sublime.
The "Sleeping Beauty" ballet gowns, with their exquisite hand-made tulle and beautifully designed bodices, created a spectacle of opulence on stage. And while the *corps de ballet* sparkled in traditional tulle skirts, the key element in all of this beautiful costuming were the bold, jewel coloured bodices. **Dior** certainly pulled out the stops on this production. We look forward to see what **Maria Grazia Chiuri** will do next - her inspiration was evident at **Paris Fashion Week**.
