Ballet Tutu Fashion and Style at www pink tutu com

My dears, it is I, Archibald, returning from yet another glorious month at the ballet! Spring is well and truly sprung, bringing with it a glorious plethora of sartorial delights, and let us not forget โ€“ a dazzling display of tutus!

Oh! The Tutues!
First and foremost, let's talk tulle, my loves. At the Royal Ballet's production of "Swan Lake," we saw an exquisite marriage of tradition and modern flair. The swans, in their white tutus, were a vision of ethereal beauty, the delicate layering of tulle shimmering under the stage lights. I am, however, partial to a bit of flamboyance and must admit I was quite captivated by the "Black Swan" โ€“ her dramatic black tutu with its striking asymmetrical design! A little less 'pouffy' than the traditional, yet perfectly in tune with the drama of the role! It certainly had me whimpering.

Speaking of drama, the American Ballet Theatre's "Giselle" offered us a veritable feast for the eyes! The 'Wilis' costumes, all wispy and diaphanous tulle, were utterly divine! Their delicate pastel colours and shimmering beads just gave a feeling of such airy ethereal romanticism. Oh! The utter glamour. And a little whisper of sadness โ€“ very bewitching. It was sheer perfection.

And now a brief note about the very "must-have" tutu accessory. At the National Ballet of Canada's "The Nutcracker," we witnessed a darling new addition: A small, sparkling gemstone brooch โ€“ positioned perfectly atop the bodice. Such a delicious, delicate and wholly feminine touch!

I believe that my dears, we are living through a Golden Age of the tutu. From classic to modern, from playful to provocative, the tutu is proving to be more versatile than ever. May this trend continue to blossom, and let us continue to revel in its enduring power. Until next month, my dearest darlings.
XOXO, Archibald
