Ballet Tutu Fashion and Style at www pink tutu com

Oh, darling, what a month for ballet-inspired fashion! The July collections have been a real treat for the eyes and for anyone wanting a little tutu-licious magic in their wardrobes.

Balletcore remains a key trend. And thankfully, designers are getting more creative than simply throwing a tulle skirt on everything (although, I do still love a good tulle skirt!)

Here's what's got my attention this month:

  • The re-emergence of the romantic tutu. Remember the days of full, billowing tulle skirts, like you see in Giselle? They’re back in full force. This time around, designers have been softening them up with lace, embellishments, and delicate fabrics, making them utterly feminine. Chanel had some divine versions, and Valentino played it up with billowing silk in stunning sunset hues.
  • Leotards for all! While once a purely gym item, the leotard has made its way into high fashion. And I’m absolutely here for it! Whether they are sporty with track pants, or styled under a flowing skirt or dress, leotards are the epitome of effortless elegance, darling.
  • The modern tutu. There is something so powerful about a short, sleek tutu. This season, designers are working with shorter lengths and architectural shapes. Think more sharp angles than soft swirls. Stella McCartney was a master of this trend, with bold lines and black tulle that made a statement.
  • The ballerina slipper trend is booming. If you haven’t spotted a pair of ballet flats lately, darling, you must be living under a rock. From Gucci to Chanel to, yes, even those trusty Marks & Spencer, everyone has a ballet-inspired flat this season, and we can all thank the divine Margot for this fantastic fashion trend. They go with everything, and their comfort level is truly delightful.

One thing's for sure, darling: ballet-inspired fashion is here to stay! So don't be afraid to channel your inner ballerina and experiment with some tutu-licious pieces.
