Hey fashionistas! Your girl here, Olivia, back with another scorching fashion blog post, this time about leotard fashion! As a dancer and gymnast (and obviously a fashion-forward individual), I'm always on the hunt for the perfect leotard. It's got to be both functional and fabulous, am I right? But more importantly, it’s got to give off serious style vibes! I’m talking everything from classic to quirky, I want my leotard to be an extension of my personality and style, whether I'm strutting my stuff on stage or flipping in the gym.

Speaking of, I recently visited Ellesmere Port for a little photoshoot. While we all know London and Manchester as style capitals, Ellesmere Port holds its own, boasting an exciting mix of both mainstream and independent shops, perfect for finding amazing pieces at amazing prices. I even got the opportunity to stop at some fabulous local dancewear stores.

Now let's talk leotards, because there are tons to choose from!

Here’s a little rundown of the latest trends I've been seeing in the wonderful world of leotard fashion in Ellesmere Port. Get your pens out and take notes, ladies!

• Simple and sophisticated. A timeless look, the classic leotard is all about functionality and elegance. These leotards are great for dance practice or competitions.

I also think it’s important to remember the classics when adding accessories! Ballet is no stranger to a well-placed hair bun and a bun-bun (hehe get it?). I love to style a classic leotard with a gorgeous, lightweight silk scarf or a bold statement hairpiece that’ll take your simple leotard look from zero to a hundred! Adding a bit of personality and creativity can make your style a true masterpiece.

You guys already know, it wouldn’t be a fashion blog if I didn’t talk about tutus. Whether you're on the dance floor or the street, a tulle tutu adds a touch of whimsy, magic, and oh-so-much fun! It's one of my all-time favorite trends.

If you’re thinking of incorporating tulle into your wardrobe - and I know you are because let’s face it, it’s just too fabulous! - here are my must-have tutu styles. Remember, we are always looking to add an elegant, whimsical and statement-making piece to our leotards!

• The classic tiered tutu: Always on trend! These tutus feature several layers of tulle that create that dramatic and voluminous silhouette. These beauties are usually found in ballet, but for more modern twists try it with a cute oversized shirt. Perfect for a fun and unique twist to an otherwise classic look.
• The short tutu: Shorter than its classic sister, but still with plenty of flair. These tutus are versatile - you can pair them with high-top sneakers for a street style look, a funky crop top for a more modern outfit or layer it over your classic black midi skirt.

• Warm Up Jackets: Let's get real, dancing and gymnastics are pretty tough, but let's make it fashionable, ladies. Look out for zip up warm up jackets in interesting colour blocking and sleek designs.
• Hair Scrunchies : Not just any hair scrunchies, I’m talking statement ones! A pop of colour, glittery fabrics or patterned materials add an exciting extra to any dancer’s style.
• Tights: They're not just for function, people! Tights have been elevated into the realms of fashion. We are living in a world of mesh, fishnet, and a multitude of colour! Pair your bold, chunky shoes with some mesh tights for that fashion-forward look. Don't be afraid to mix and match, ladies!
• Socks and leg warmers: Don't forget to look your best from head to toe! I’m talking quirky patterned socks and leg warmers. Add a splash of colour and a unique spin on your classic style!

My favourite shop to get all things leotards and tutu is *Dancewear Store Name*, but there’s an abundance of places in Ellesmere Port where you can find great quality and super-stylish pieces. Do your research ladies, you are in for a fashion adventure!
