Pink Tutu Time Travel: Blog Post #142 - 10th October 1672! ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ

Hey darlings!

Welcome back to Pink Tutu Time Travel! October's here, and the air's crisp, the leaves are turning, and you know what that means? Time for a grand adventure!

This month, my pink tutu and I are hopping back to 10th October 1672, to the dazzling court of Louis XIV in Versailles! Imagine the opulence, the silks, the grandeur โ€“ oh, and the dancing! You know me, I'm all about those elegant steps and breathtaking costumes. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Before we whisk away to the past, let's talk fashion! As usual, I've got a delightful new pink tutu, complete with hand-stitched lace and delicate pearl embellishments. I think you'll just adore it! This time, it's paired with a cherry-red bodice, reminiscent of the rich velvets worn by ladies of the court. Don't forget my trusty leather rucksack โ€“ it's absolutely stuffed with beautiful ribbons and brooches, all the perfect souvenirs for a time traveller like me!

But let's get to the nitty-gritty โ€“ why are we back in 1672, you ask? Well, the world of ballet was alive and kicking, literally! Imagine โ€“ ballet wasn't confined to theatres; it was a central part of royal court entertainment! And guess what? King Louis XIV himself was a major dance enthusiast โ€“ in fact, he's been called the Sun King for a reason, just radiating joy and beauty! ๐Ÿ‘‘โ˜€๏ธ

Just imagine: opulent ballrooms, glittering candlelight, and dancers gliding through intricate steps โ€“ truly a scene out of a fairytale! Of course, the ballet of this era differed greatly from the classical ballet we know today. There were lots of graceful walks, poses, and courtly bows, less focus on the leaps and turns we adore nowadays.

Think elaborate costumes, graceful hand gestures, and expressions brimming with passion and finesse โ€“ this was dancing at its most dramatic, captivating the hearts of all who watched. I have to tell you, the grandeur and elegance of the time just got me in the mood for a whirlwind waltz!

And of course, where there's dazzling ballet, there's also splendid shopping, which I absolutely couldn't resist. You can find such lovely ribbons, jewels, and silks that are just perfect for adding a touch of something special to your own pink tutu wardrobe. I am absolutely certain I snagged a bargain, because these silks will add a touch of je ne sais quoi to my pink tutu collection!

My trusty steed, Magic Meg, was, as always, an absolute angel on our journey. Her pink sparkling coat and gleaming golden hooves are, as always, a perfect reflection of my vibrant energy. (Seriously, she even gets a matching pink hairband for our adventures, wouldn't you think a sparkly steed like her deserves a little bling? ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Onward to the ballet world in 1672!

Remember, darlings, there's a pink tutu out there for everyone! So wear your pink tutus with confidence, because even the most dazzling French Court would have adored your beautiful presence.

Till next month, my lovelies, stay twirling!
