Pink Tutu Time Travel: A Leap to 1770 - Post 1311

Hello, lovelies! Emma here, your resident pink tutu-clad time traveller, and I'm absolutely buzzing to be back with you on the first of March! Today, we're jetting off on a most delightful trip - all the way back to 1770! Buckle up, darlings, because we're going to witness a historical spectacle, one that makes my heart skip a beat every time!

Now, before I start spilling the tea, let's give Magic Meg a good old pat on her velvety nose. This magnificent, pink sparkling Shire with golden hooves and a mane as white as a snowdrift is the backbone of our time travels. Without her, my lovely readers, we'd be stuck here, in 2023! Meg is an absolute gem - a little on the boisterous side, mind you, but that's her charm!

Right then, enough with the introductions, let's get on with the show! Today, dear readers, we're travelling to Paris. Now, Paris in 1770? Imagine the charm! The cobbled streets, the cafes spilling over with laughter and chatter, the stylish ladies and gentlemen all dressed in the latest fashion. But what truly gets me excited is the ballet, my dears!

On this date, March 1st, 1770, the famous Ballet Master, Jean-Georges Noverre, debuted his spectacular production of "Le Carnaval du Parnasse." Can you imagine? I simply swoon thinking about it! Now, "Le Carnaval du Parnasse" was more than just a ballet; it was a true theatrical extravaganza, a riot of colour, movement, and story! I picture this glorious tableau: the stage draped in velvet, shimmering chandeliers, and ballerinas pirouetteing with such grace and skill, it'd melt your heart, lovelies!

Just the thought of it has got my tutu twirling, and my creative juices flowing!

This is just a teaser of what we'll uncover in 1770! But first, let me pop back into my trusty leather rucksack - it's been lovingly packed with everything you need for the journey: a copy of Noverre's 'Letters on Dancing,' a couple of antique ballet shoes I just had to pick up at the local vintage shop, and a handful of gorgeous fabric samples for a future ballet inspired dress! And naturally, a couple of pink tutus - you know, just in case a spare is needed.

You know how much I love ballet fashion - so I can't wait to witness the exquisite style of 1770. Imagine: powder-puff wigs, dainty embroidered gowns, and silks in vibrant colours. You know I'll be slipping on a dazzling vintage creation inspired by this era, wouldn't miss it for the world!

Now, hold onto your seats, darlings! Time to make a pit stop at the "The Pink Tutu" shop (I really do have the best online store, you know! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) My darling, pink-loving shoppers - I just can't get over the new collection of pastel tutus that just arrived. I've even added a selection of hand-made tutus for your furry friends (they need to look fabulous too, right?) But remember, every sale brings us one step closer to our collective pink tutu dream, darlings! Just a couple more pink tutus to sell, and I'll be on my way to 1770!

So, here's a sneak peek at my "Pink Tutu" blog. Remember to check out my latest ballet class video on our YouTube channel - the class is inspired by "Le Carnaval du Parnasse" of course! You won't believe the new routines! See you soon lovelies! Don't forget to follow my socials - @ThePinkTutu on Twitter, @ThePinkTutuBlogger on Instagram.

Love and happy twirling!
