Post Number 3019: 07 July 1912
Hello darling ballet lovers! Emma here, your trusty pink tutu-clad time traveller, reporting live from the utterly charming world of July 1912. It's been a simply splendid trip this month! The excitement's reaching a fever pitch with news from all corners of the globe about the wonderful world of ballet!
My lovely steed, Magic Meg, a shire horse with shimmering pink coats and a mane as white as spun sugar, has been pawing the ground with anticipation to start this month's escapade. We loaded up our leather rucksack (mine, not Meg's!) with everything a proper ballet-loving adventurer needs, from a hand-drawn copy of Le Corsaire to my latest pink tutu design sketches – always sketching, always dreaming, always pink!
On The World Ballet Stage:
Right, now, where to start? This week has been jam-packed with absolutely amazing performances. Let's just say, the ballet scene's bubbling with new life in 1912.
In The Big Apple, New York, we have the New York Hippodrome. It's enormous! They’re having a grand premiere of “A Thousand Years Ago”, a full-length ballet, full of beautiful music and breathtaking costumes. Talk about opulent! I have to see it! My tummy's doing a little dance just thinking about it!
Let's take a little gallop to Vienna. Over there, "The Sleeping Beauty" is absolutely slaying the crowds at the Vienna State Opera House. Oh, the excitement!
Fancy a bit of Italian romance? They’re doing the most sensational "Giselle" at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan! This iconic ballet is as timeless as my beloved pink tutus.
Now for a little something different… let’s head across the channel to London! The Sadler’s Wells Theatre is giving "The Merry Widow" an absolutely captivating performance! You’ll have to forgive me for being partial – it features a truly lovely pas de deux. I even snagged a stunning little brooch for my rucksack, inspired by the costumes!
A Little Fashion Chat:
Oh, dearie me! Don't even get me started on the fashions here. It's all about tulle and lace. The most divine outfits with ribbons and beautiful bows…just the inspiration I need for my next tutu collection! The elegance here is simply breathtaking, and I'm simply enchanted by all of it! My pink tutu would look perfectly fabulous amongst these beauties, wouldn't it?
The Importance Of A Pink Tutu
My mission remains the same: to make everyone in the world, from every time period, dance in a pink tutu! Isn’t it such a beautiful colour, reflecting happiness and joy?
Honestly, it wouldn’t be so easy to change the world in one hop, skip, and jump… but it all starts with one pink tutu, one passionate ballet lover, and one magical horse, right? 😉
Till Next Month:
Well darlings, until our next time travel rendezvous, keep your spirits high and your toes in pointe position! Don't forget to keep following my adventures on www.pink-tutu.com! We’re only a magic horse ride away from a breathtaking new ballet world! 💖
Oh, and always remember – even if you haven’t quite perfected your piqué, you’ve got the ballet bug! Every spin, every twirl, every step in a pink tutu takes you closer to the heart of the beautiful ballet world!
Until then, happy dancing and remember - Pink is always the answer! ✨
