Hello darlings!
Welcome back to Pink Tutu Time Travels! September 2012 has been a whirl of tutus and travel, and I can't wait to share all the magical moments with you. As always, I'm off on another fabulous adventure, and this time, Magic Meg is carrying me back to, oh, a rather extraordinary time - the present! Well, technically, the September of 2012, to be exact. I must say, it felt like stepping straight into a balletic dream.
Tutu Trendspotting
First off, you simply MUST try out some of the latest looks, dears. You know how much I love spotting new tutu trends. Right now, in this September 2012, the most fashionable dancers are flaunting the āModern Minimalismā style. Think clean lines, geometric shapes, and a little splash of shimmer, of course. I even managed to nab myself a little gem - a sleek black tutu with a silver stripe. Oh, and the new, slightly higher platform shoes are all the rage.
Parisian Perfection
This month, I whisked myself off to Paris, the city of lights, the city of tutus! And oh, the ballet scene was positively thrilling. The Paris Opera Ballet, well, just dreamy. The costumes were exquisite. I felt like Iād stumbled onto the stage myself! And letās talk about the talent, oh my goodness! One ballerina in particular had me mesmerised ā I do believe it was AurĆ©lie Dupont! If ever you find yourselves at the Opera Garnier, darling, you absolutely must catch her. And if you are ever, ever lucky enough to catch her dancing Giselle, I do assure you, it's an absolute must-see.
* Ballet By The Bay*
Right after Paris, I just had to make a dash to the San Francisco Ballet. Oh, darling, what a feast for the eyes! I fell head over heels for their new piece, āThe Fifth Symphony,ā it's just utterly inspiring and I fell absolutely head over heels. You know I adore ballet and art! Of course, I spent the whole evening jotting down ideas in my trusty leather rucksack. Perhaps my September ballet class will be āThe Fifth Symphony Inspiredā. I know, I'm a terrible dreamer!
Magic Meg's Adventures
And now a little word on the most important being in all this time travelā¦Magic Meg. Our beautiful pink Shire with the golden hooves ā she is just as enchanted as I am! I had to get her a sparkly pink saddle for this particular adventure because she really is a treasure. You know, it can be tricky time travelling, especially when your pink steed loves to prance! But when she gets that twinkle in her eye, well, thereās no stopping us!
A Tutu For Every Occasion
As you know, my darling readers, the aim is to spread the tutu love around the world, one time travelling adventure at a time. I'm sure the world of September 2012 will join me! Perhaps, if I am very, very lucky, it'll be a September when more people around the globe fall in love with ballet - a tutu-wearing, magical dream, if you ask me.
