Hello darlings, and welcome to another monthly adventure on my time travel blog! It's Emma here, and for my 4800th post, I've been transported, quite literally, to the 12th of December 2060. The future! It’s quite the thrill, as you can imagine, and I can already tell this is going to be a pink-tastic entry!
First off, I have to give you all the juicy details on my latest transportation! Remember Magic Meg? My glorious pink sparkling Shire with golden hooves and the most magnificent white mane and tail? She took me on the most fabulous ride to the year 2060, and darling, it’s truly a spectacle!
This future is not just about flying cars and robot maids (although I’ve got to say, those things are utterly fabulous!). Ballet has absolutely exploded! The entire world is obsessed with dance, and everyone's sporting pink tutus! Well, not everyone, but trust me, it’s happening more and more, and the energy here is simply divine!
Imagine my delight! I can finally wear a pink tutu out in public without fear of judgment. It’s absolutely the norm, and people look at you oddly if you’re NOT rocking a pink tutu. Imagine that, darling! In the future, tutus are like jeans. This place is absolute pink heaven!
As always, I’ve got my leather rucksack slung over my shoulder, brimming with ballet bits and bobs, eager to learn all about the dance scene of this exciting future!
Right, where was I? Ah yes, 12th of December 2060! It's absolutely brimming with exciting events! On the global ballet calendar this very day is...
1) “The Swan Lake in Space”: It's a massive intergalactic ballet spectacle with holograms, choreographed on an orbiting platform, which everyone can view on their special wristwatches. I have to admit, darling, the future ballet is a little out there in the best way possible! They’re pushing boundaries and bringing dance into every corner of life!
2) The world renowned “Royal Ballet of Derbyshire”, the very company that nurtured me and introduced me to the glorious world of ballet, is hosting its annual "Pink Tutu Gala", celebrating its 150th anniversary. Naturally, it’s a sold-out event! A beautiful ballet celebration featuring the best dancers in the world and a phenomenal, pink themed gala! How utterly glamorous!
3) "A Pink Tutu Fashion Showcase" at the iconic Fashion House, Paris. : It's an event I can't miss. It promises to be a spectacular presentation showcasing innovative designs and revolutionary materials inspired by the iconic tutu. You see, in the future, tutus aren't just for ballerinas, but a symbol of bold individuality and self-expression!
But darling, it’s not all glitz and glamour! While my time machine might zip me from one extraordinary ballet event to another, I still find time for the basics! I’ve joined the "Dancing through the Galaxy" dance class, where we learn to dance on platforms that actually fly you through the sky! I absolutely adore it! It's so much fun, and the instructor is a genuine hoot, and everyone wears tutus - of course! The pink tutus! We’re talking about 2060, remember? It’s simply revolutionary. I might be a little bit jealous of how far the dance world has come since I left my time period, but honestly, I just think it’s divine!
Oh, and have I mentioned how wonderful it is to see people of all ages and abilities embrace ballet in this day and age? The old stereotypes about ballet just simply don't exist! Everyone from 90-year-old grandmothers to 3-year-old tots are finding their groove on the dance floor! It’s pure inspiration, my dears.
I have a feeling this time travel adventure will lead to a flurry of exciting blog posts, and I've already got some pink-tastic ideas swirling in my mind.
I simply must sign off for now and start planning my schedule. My time in 2060 is already jam-packed with dance shows, classes, fashion, and oh so many tutu-clad events!
Until next time, darling!
And remember, my darlings, it's never too late to embrace the pink tutu!
Yours in dance and pink,
Emma xx
