Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! ?? (Post #53)

Hello my lovely pink-tutu-loving darlings!

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for a new Pink Tutu Blog post! And guess what? I’m back in London, my absolute favourite city! This weekend, I’m going to be soaking up all the magic, the dazzling shows, the delicious treats, and the fantastic fashion London has to offer!

It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Blog without a sprinkle of sparkle, so, naturally, I arrived in London by train in my most flamboyant pink tutu - it’s a vibrant fuchsia with sparkling silver sequined trims! Oh, the looks I got! ? There's nothing quite like the thrill of travelling in style, feeling the rhythm of the rails as you journey towards a city that's full of excitement and promise.

I’ve got so much planned for the day! It’s a packed schedule of fun, girly things - just the way I like it. It all starts with a coffee and a croissant in a charming cafe on Oxford Street, because every day should start with a bit of French elegance, right? From there, it’s on to the West End for a delightful matinee performance! This weekend’s show? It’s the incredibly talented Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance”, I absolutely adore the blend of Irish traditional dancing with the modern and captivating staging - it's going to be sensational!

After the show, it’s time for some retail therapy, naturally! I’m going to hit Regent Street to hunt for some new sparkly additions to my wardrobe! Pink, pink, pink! Think feather boas, extravagant hats, and a whole array of sequined accessories. Can't have enough sparkles in London!

And to finish the day, I’m treating myself to a fabulous ballet class in a grand studio nestled within a beautiful, old Victorian building - London has so much hidden beauty, it’s wonderful!

Before I delve into the delights of the day, I have to tell you about this glorious journey by train! You see, as I mentioned last week, my trips are funded by performing in a variety of local dance events. I'm quite the busy little ballerina - sometimes juggling multiple roles and performances throughout the week - but I love it!

This week I had the most delightful engagement – a vintage themed performance in my hometown of Derby. Can you imagine - a room full of beautiful people, wearing shimmering dresses and dancing to vintage tunes! The highlight was definitely the applause for my final pirouette! (That's a twirl in ballerina speak for those of you not in the know!)

Talking of sparkly events, a word about Derby! What a fantastic little town - it's a hub for artists and dancers. It's definitely a hotbed for aspiring artists, with the local Quad Theatre showcasing all manner of talents and giving rising stars a platform to show what they're made of! There's always a buzz, and the Quad always features amazing dance acts, theatrical pieces, and art exhibitions - something for everyone!

Right, now I really need to rush, but before I go, a little message for you all: Remember, darling, if there is one thing I know about the world, it’s that life is infinitely more beautiful in a pink tutu! Embrace the fun, the glamour, the laughter! Live your life like it’s a sparkling ballet!

Catch you all next Friday with another blog post from London - you know I’ll have more stories of sparkly London magic to share then!
