Hello my lovely darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Blog London, it’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, here, ready to share all my adventures from the fabulous capital! It’s Friday, the 31st of October, and as you all know, every Friday, this little blog pops up to share all the delightful happenings from the past week, so grab yourselves a cuppa, get comfy, and let's dive right into the frills and thrills!
From Derbyshire to the Big Smoke
This week, I bid farewell to the rolling hills of Derbyshire and hopped aboard the train for a delightful trip to London. The journey itself is such a treat. Watching the countryside disappear and seeing those first glimpses of the city's towering skyscrapers never fail to send shivers of excitement down my spine. Plus, who doesn't love a good train ride, especially with a tutu flowing in the breeze?
Speaking of the breeze, my dear reader, let's discuss my wardrobe. You all know I love pink and tutus, and London just begs to be explored with a delightful dose of both! Today, I'm wearing a fabulously voluminous, tulle tutu in a pale pink, topped with a shimmering, rose gold sweater that matches the golden leaves on the trees, just because! To add a touch of "Emma-style", I've added a touch of glitter to the waistband with some sparkling, pink diamantes! Oh, and naturally, my favourite pink ballet flats!
A Friday of Culture, Fashion, and Frolics
Once I arrived in the capital, I decided to tackle a day full of exciting activities! After settling in to my charming little hotel in Bloomsbury, I couldn't wait to get out and explore. First on the agenda, the V&A Museum, because nothing is quite like immersing yourself in the world of fashion, design and all things pretty. It was amazing seeing the most incredible garments and accessories. You wouldn't believe the number of exquisite lace creations – a true dream for any tulle enthusiast like me!
Next, it was on to Covent Garden! I could practically smell the charm of those cobblestone streets and the lively buzz of the area just fills you with joy. Oh, I do love a little shopping too! There were so many gorgeous boutiques with the most amazing designs, and of course, a generous helping of pink to be found. I even picked up a delightful new scarf in a pale peach - it just screamed "London Fashion" and felt like a must-have!
Ballet, Lights, Camera, Action!
The real highlight of the day, however, was the ballet performance I saw this evening! I found an amazing little theatre in the heart of the West End. The show, called "La Fille Mal Gardée", was so delightfully whimsical, a classic tale of love, rebellion, and a dash of magic. I was spellbound by the costumes and the talented dancers, and it even had a charming pink-hued ballerina outfit – which I was delighted to discover in the programme's costume design section. Such a sweet tribute to our favourite colour!
