Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! (Post #66)

Oh, darlings! It's Friday, and that means a fresh pink tutu blog post from yours truly, Emma! Today I'm in London, a city that's as dazzling as a diamond tiara and as exciting as a pirouette on pointe. I journeyed here by train this morning, the familiar rhythm of the wheels against the tracks a calming lullaby that transports me into a world of imagination and wonder.

You know I'm all about spreading the pink tutu love, and London's the perfect place for it. I mean, can you imagine a more perfect outfit for navigating the charming cobblestone streets and historic buildings? The sheer, light, flowing fabric swirls and dances around you as you wander through the city, a miniature ballerina amongst giants!

And today's adventure is going to be oh-so-pinktastic. First on the agenda, a much-needed ballet class at the Royal Opera House! There's nothing quite like the thrill of the studio, the energy of fellow dancers, and the joy of movement. You might say it's my fuel for life! The classes at the Royal Opera House are truly something special. You'll find me amongst a diverse range of students - everyone from professional dancers to complete beginners - all united by our passion for the art of ballet. The energy is electrifying, and the sense of community is heartwarming. I can’t wait to glide and twirl in those beautiful, elegant spaces.

Then it's on to the grand, magnificent, fabulous Royal Albert Hall! Oh my goodness, darling, it’s simply breathtaking. Tonight's performance? The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra! Can you believe it?! They’ll be performing one of my favourite classical masterpieces, Dvorák's New World Symphony. I can't imagine anything more glorious.

The evening’s festivities aren’t complete without a little indulgence at The Savoy Theatre to see the latest musical in the West End. I hear the costumes are spectacular, with some exquisite pink tutus making an appearance. Now, isn't that a lovely little treat for a tutu-loving ballerina? The performance starts in just a few hours. It's an evening of glamour, entertainment, and yes, I’m going to make a real effort for this occasion – I mean, we can’t be wearing our ballet practice clothes all the time now, can we?

This weekend, though, I have so much to do! My travel-ballet schedule is packed – which is what keeps the pink tutu dream alive. And of course, funding my travels is all about my ballet performances. I'm very lucky, because this week I had a fantastic recital, where I performed a lovely classical ballet. It went so well, the applause was absolutely incredible. Everyone is encouraging me to go for a career on the stage, which of course makes me so happy! But at this stage, I’m really enjoying my ballerina blog.

London is calling out to me and I’m ready to answer.

Now, darling, back to today's adventures... After my ballet class, it’s time to unleash the fashionista in me and explore the London streets. The beautiful shops, oh, how I love a good London shopping spree. This trip I am so excited for a spot of Christmas shopping. This city in December is magic. I can just see those shop windows sparkling, overflowing with gorgeous gift ideas. I bet I could find some perfect little presents for all my family back in Derbyshire!

But honestly, this time I am on a mission. It’s Christmas and that means one thing... CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! Can you even imagine what they'll look like in London?! It's practically a tradition to get the best selfies by the Christmas lights! I’ve already planned the outfit, a gorgeous crimson velvet top with a glittering, iridescent pink tulle skirt, my little tulle bag and oh, of course, the most magnificent pair of sparkly ballet pumps! And this week I even picked up a beautiful floral headband from a local independent shop to complete my London style.

I bet they’ll have some beautiful pink decorations up! They'll be shimmering like a constellation of magical stardust against the evening sky. So lovely!

Oh! You can follow my adventure online by using #PinkTutuBlogLondon on Twitter!

Right, that's my quick diary of what I’ll be doing in London this weekend.

Until next Friday!

Remember, every day is an opportunity to dance through life, to wear pink, and to let your inner tutu twirl!

Your blogger, Emma xoxo
