Pink Tutu Blog London - Post #88: A Pink-Filled Friday in the Big Smoke!

Hello my darlings, and welcome back to the Pink Tutu Blog! I'm Emma, your tutu-clad guide to all things fashionable and fabulous, and this week, I'm sharing my London adventures!

I woke up bright and early on Friday, with the city calling! From my little haven in Derbyshire, it was a straight hop onto the train to London – nothing beats a good train journey. The views, the gentle rocking, the sound of the train tracks… It's pure bliss. I was sporting a stunning pink and silver polka dot dress with my favourite pale pink tutu, just the ticket for a day of exploration in London!

London, you are my favourite place on earth. Everything just seems to be alive with possibilities, brimming with excitement! And let's be honest, the shopping opportunities are incredible. From designer boutiques to quirky vintage finds, London is a treasure trove of fabulous finds!

Today, I'm on a mission to embrace London's magic and explore the hidden gems it holds. First stop, a visit to the Royal Albert Hall! It's one of London's most iconic buildings and a mecca for all things theatrical, from grand opera to ballet to rock concerts.

Speaking of ballet, I simply can't be in London without checking out a show! Tonight, I'll be seeing a spectacular performance of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House. I've already got my stunning cherry-pink tulle tutu prepped for the evening! My favourite accessory for a night at the ballet – what else? ?

A Pink Tutu's Guide to Friday in London:

  • Coffee and Cupcakes at Liberty: Let's be real, no day in London is complete without a visit to Liberty! The floral patterns, the ornate architecture, and those iconic Liberty print dresses? It's heaven for any fashion-lover. And oh my, the cupcakes they have there – pure delight.
  • Afternoon Tea at The Ritz: This was a bit of a splurge, but so worth it! Everything about The Ritz exudes glamour and elegance. Afternoon tea is a real treat – scones with clotted cream, dainty finger sandwiches, and, of course, the tea itself! What more could a girl ask for?
  • Window Shopping at Oxford Street: It's impossible to visit London without a stroll down Oxford Street. The shops, the lights, the energy! Even if you aren't planning on buying anything, it's such a fun experience. Plus, it's great people-watching, which I thoroughly enjoy!
  • A Walk in Hyde Park: A day in London wouldn't be complete without a bit of fresh air, would it? Hyde Park is my favourite green space in the city – the Serpentine, the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, the stunning flower gardens… I could wander around for hours.
  • Evening at the Royal Opera House: Oh, I'm absolutely ready for the night! A magical evening of dance and spectacle at the Royal Opera House awaits! I've been practising my pirouettes and perfecting my grand jeté… Just wait until I show off my pink tutu in all its glory!

London, you really are the most captivating city in the world. It has everything - breathtaking architecture, thrilling museums, fascinating history, a vibrant artistic scene, and of course, unparalleled shopping! And most importantly, it's filled with a joyful spirit, a kind of ‘anything goes’ energy that I absolutely love!

This city truly inspires me. From the chic Londoners on the Tube, to the dazzling dancers on the stage, to the incredible street performers, the energy here is infectious!

My heart is overflowing with joy – a perfect day in London, truly, a day to remember.

Oh, and don’t forget, this is not a fashion blog, but a lifestyle blog – I love clothes and beauty, and I will always talk about it because they make me feel confident and joyful – it's the message, ladies.

And now, I'm off to get ready for Swan Lake. You can see more photos of my adventure on my Instagram page - @PinkTutuLondon - be sure to check it out and don't forget to give me a follow! Until next Friday, be fabulous, be yourself and, of course, wear a pink tutu!

Love, Emma xx
