Pink Tutu Blog London: #340 A Tutu-ful Friday in London!

Hello my darling darlings! It's Friday and guess what? This girly's in London! 💃 I'm buzzing, my lovelies, because a whirlwind week of performances (three in total, can you believe it?) in Derbyshire finally came to an end, and I snagged myself a coveted seat on the morning train to London.

As I write this, I'm snuggled into my favourite corner seat in a lovely little cafe, enjoying a pot of the most delicious tea, watching the world go by. (I did pop in to Primark to grab a little something-something for the evening, but that's a secret!). It’s just so thrilling, isn't it? The energy in London is palpable, even on a Friday morning, with everyone dashing off to work in their dapper outfits.

Now, this trip is all about indulging my passion for ballet. This afternoon, I'm off to see the Royal Ballet perform Giselle at the Royal Opera House. It's one of my all-time favourite ballets, so I'm practically skipping with excitement. And yes, you guessed it, I'll be sporting my most flamboyant pink tutu! I do love my tutus! They're so utterly joyous! 🩰

Speaking of fashion, I just can't get over the amazing boutiques in London. Yesterday, I ventured into the heart of Covent Garden and got lost in a wonderland of silk and sequins. The fashion scene in London is electric, and you can feel the creative buzz in the air. From quirky independent shops to the glamourous catwalks, London truly is a fashionista's paradise. There are endless ways to wear a tutu; just a hint of tutus can bring any look alive!

Now, don’t forget my dear lovelies, the only reason I'm here is to share the joy and sparkle of my favourite subject: Ballet! The thrill of watching a performance that makes my heart leap, the incredible power of music, and the sheer grace and artistry of the dancers, it's a sensation I never tire of. It’s just so wonderful that I get to support my tutu lifestyle through performing, and to share this joy with you all through my blog.

But back to my London adventure… After the ballet, I plan on having dinner in Soho - think cocktails, glittery outfits, and laughter until we cry. If there's a party to be found in London, you can be sure I'll be in the thick of it, tutu and all!

It's so important to me to embrace the vibrancy and diversity that London offers. Every nook and cranny of this city holds a little secret, a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. This evening, I'll be exploring Covent Garden. With the bustle of the street performers, the delicious food stalls, and the sheer abundance of creativity, it’s like a fairytale brought to life. It’s always so charming, so delightful!

My dear lovelies, I just love that, after years of living in my little Derbyshire bubble, I finally managed to break free and explore the world outside my cozy comfort zone. To be here, surrounded by history and the buzz of London life, to find those magical tutu moments, it makes every single day so exciting! And remember, you too can experience these thrills – you just need a touch of sparkle, a dash of courage, and the determination to twirl your way through life, one tutu at a time.

Catch you next week for another Friday of London magic, my loves. Until then, remember, always keep that twinkle in your eye and never be afraid to let your tutu spirit shine! ✨

My Favourite Finds!

Since we're in London, and London is just bursting at the seams with delightful shops, here’s a tiny peek at what caught my eye on my little Covent Garden wander…

  • Pretty in Pink: In a quaint shop called ‘Little Birds’, I fell in love with the most exquisite blush-pink silk scarf, hand-embroidered with dainty little birds. So utterly adorable, and perfectly matched to my ballet shoes, wouldn’t you agree? It'll definitely be the perfect accent to any London adventure outfit.

  • Tea-Time Treats: For a taste of pure English charm, I couldn't resist stopping in at ‘The Tea House’ for a steaming pot of fragrant Earl Grey tea and a plate of freshly baked scones. (With jam and cream of course!). A real little slice of England!

  • Tutu Time: I couldn’t go to Covent Garden without checking out the shop *‘Tutus R Us’. * What can I say? It’s like a tutu wonderland, filled with the most vibrant, beautiful tutus of all shapes and sizes. It was tough, but I managed to choose one tiny black tulle tutu with an explosion of bright pink sequins – perfect for a Friday night in Covent Garden!

*And now… * I'll be off to get ready for a night of Giselle! It's the kind of night that gives my little tutu-loving heart a flutter, don't you think? Wish me luck!

Don't forget, visit me at www.pink-tutu.com every Friday for new adventures in pink! 💖

*P.S. * Just so you know, there's a wonderful show at the Barbican Centre opening tonight, " *The Music of My Life." * It’s an interactive and engaging multimedia production celebrating the iconic work of Andrew Lloyd Webber. You know, if anyone needs me for the next few hours, I'll be right over there!
