Pink Tutu Blog London: #353 - A Friday Whirl Through London! šŸ©°šŸŒø

Hello my dearest tutu twirlers!

Itā€™s Friday again, and you know what that means? Yep, you guessed it! Time for another London adventure, and this time Iā€™m even more excited than usual. I've packed my pinkest tutu, my most flamboyant feather boa, and a suitcase brimming with dreams of the perfect outfit. Oh, and I've stocked up on enough pink macarons to share with a whole ballet class (plus some extra for good measure).

I arrived in London by train this morning, you see, with my trusty suitcase (covered, of course, in sparkly pink polka dots). Nothing beats the thrill of arriving in a new city, the bustle of the station, the whiff of exciting adventures in the air. London always feels like a place bursting with secrets just waiting to be discovered.

A Day of London Delights!

This afternoon I started my day in Covent Garden, and oh my, let me tell you, the excitement was palpable! I headed straight for a charming tea room - you know I'm a sucker for dainty finger sandwiches and warm, freshly baked scones! The most divine pink china and linen napkinsā€¦ how could I resist? (A couple of pink macarons slipped into my bag too ā€“ never can resist a good macaron!).

After my tea and scones, I embarked on a bit of window shopping, something London does incredibly well. From antique shops brimming with vintage treasures to quirky boutiques bursting with the latest trends, every corner I turned unveiled a new gem. The highlight was, of course, the Liberty store! Have you seen those silk prints? My heart just about skipped a beat. (If anyone finds me a pink floral silk scarf, you are my absolute hero!).

I took a meander through Covent Garden Market too. You know, itā€™s just buzzing with energy. Every street musician was playing something delightful. And oh! Those vibrant colours everywhere, all the fresh fruit and flowers. Honestly, London makes me feel alive.

But no London adventure is complete without a little ballet. So, later this evening, Iā€™m off to see the Royal Ballet. You see, I have to keep up with the latest in dance. Itā€™s so important for me to be inspired by all the talented dancers out there, it really helps to fire up my creativity. This weekā€™s performance is Giselle, which will, of course, involve an extravagant amount of tulle (perfect!). And guess what? The theatre has the most stunning grand staircase! (Think sweeping crimson carpet, swirling gold accents - I'm already planning my #tutuselfie backdrop!).

The Tutu Effect

Did I tell you that today is a big day for tutus? Well, actually, every day is a big day for tutus, but this Friday is especially important because it's ā€œPink Tutu Dayā€. Iā€™ve just announced this as a new monthly day of celebration, for anyone to don a pink tutu and feel fantastic about it! Because thereā€™s no reason why our fabulous, colourful tutus shouldnā€™t have their own dedicated day. The beauty of the tutu lies in its versatility, it can be anything you want it to be, just like life! And why choose just one shade when thereā€™s a rainbow of options? (Let's just agree to always include pink, eh?)

But let's not forget the true joy of the tutu! It makes us feel like a little bit of magic is just within reach. And just imagine the smiles on the faces of those you pass, itā€™s pure delight! If a twirling pink tutu can bring some brightness into the world, who wouldnā€™t be happy? So, go on, letā€™s all embrace the tutu effect.

Now, go forth and twirl!

And remember, you can keep up with my adventures on www.pink-tutu.com. See you all next week, for another fun-filled Friday in London.

Until then, let's spread a little pink tutu love!

Much love, Emma šŸ’•šŸ©°

Fashion Update

Let's talk fashion, my favourite topic! Pink is, of course, the most flattering colour on every girl! But itā€™s all about making it work for your own personal style. Here are some of the pink looks I have in mind for my London visit:

  • Tutu Power: This London adventure simply wouldnā€™t be complete without a tutu. Of course, mine is a delightful, fluffy, hot-pink, ballerina dream! But a light, flowing blush pink might also be appropriate for strolling around town. You could pair it with a vintage broach, maybe a bit of faux-pearl detailing on a little black handbag? Ooh, and a simple white top would be the perfect touch. Just the right amount of whimsy and sophistication!
  • Sweet Smock Dress: An absolutely adorable outfit! Try it in a baby pink, paired with a super pink ribbon around your neck, and dainty, pearl drop earrings. Iā€™m thinking sweet and feminine. I love adding a pop of colour with pink heels and my ever-so-glamorous matching handbag!
  • Bohemian Ballerina: Maybe this time, the look will be less delicate and more whimsical. Try a long pink flowy dress and boho-inspired jewellery. A bright orange or lime green bag will really pop! Add a bit of rustic flair with chunky sandals ā€“ the ultimate London look!
  • The Tutu-astic Outfit: The most important part of any look is to wear it with confidence! That's my secret! If you want to truly express yourself through your style, grab that bright pink tutu and wear it with a grin!
