Hello my darlings! It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for another London adventure! I’m feeling a little bit like a princess stepping off a fairytale carriage right now - because guess what?! I’ve just arrived in the bustling capital from my little corner of Derbyshire. The train journey was absolute bliss, I must say. There’s something so romantic about travelling by train - you know, sitting by the window, watching the countryside zoom by, and daydreaming about all the amazing things you’re about to see in London!
But let's get down to the nitty gritty - the purpose of my little escapade this week is a magical treat: a visit to the Royal Opera House for an absolutely divine performance of Swan Lake! I simply cannot wait to be mesmerized by the graceful ballet, the magnificent costumes, and of course, the dazzling spectacle of it all. I've got my brand-new, twirly, pink tutu packed, and let's just say it's going to be the perfect outfit for a night of enchantment. 🦢✨
However, a trip to London wouldn't be complete without a little bit of sightseeing and shopping! And darling, you know I can't resist the lure of London's fabulous shops! This time I'm especially excited to visit Liberty. You know, the gorgeous department store with that stunning, art-nouveau facade. Just imagining those vibrant colours, the intricate designs, the unique finds, and maybe, just maybe, a brand-new pink tulle scarf for my collection… 🛍️ 💖
I’m feeling so inspired and brimming with girly ideas! To set the mood for the weekend, I'm going to have a little dance session this evening - a ballet class at Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden. The air there just feels alive with creativity and energy. Afterwards, I'm going to savor a delicious, indulgent dinner at a restaurant that has the best chocolate mousse ever (stay tuned, my darlings - I'll be sharing all the details on that in my next post!).
You know what makes this Friday extra special, besides a trip to London? The summer is in full swing here! The weather has been absolutely glorious - sunshine, blue skies, the scent of honeysuckle wafting through the air... I mean, who could resist? I'm going to spend Saturday morning wandering through the streets of Notting Hill, probably ending up in a cute little cafe with a pot of Earl Grey and a delicious slice of Victoria sponge. (Did I mention that I have a thing for Victoria sponge cake? Just one of my little guilty pleasures, you see! 😄).
So, you see, my darlings, it's going to be a jam-packed, absolutely fantastic weekend. I can’t wait to share my adventures, all the fascinating things I’ll see, the delightful shops I'll be exploring, and my thoughts about the performance at the Royal Opera House.
