Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! - Post #407

Hello my dearest tutu-loving friends! It's Friday, and that means it's time for another exciting Pink Tutu Blog post. This week, I've traded my Derbyshire hills for the vibrant energy of London! I'm hopping onto a train this morning, leaving behind the familiar rolling green fields for the hustle and bustle of the capital. I've always said there's nothing more thrilling than arriving in London by train – that moment the city comes into view with all its majestic towers and bustling streets. Oh, and did I mention that I'm wearing my new pink tulle tutu with a dash of peacock feathers? Because, of course, I am!

This trip, I'm aiming to get a taste of everything London has to offer - from exploring hidden gems like charming bookstores to experiencing the grandeur of theatreland. But I won't deny, I'm absolutely smitten with London’s incredible shopping scene! Fashionistas, you know how I feel.

Speaking of shopping, you might be wondering how I, a humble ballet dancer, manage to travel so much? Well, the secret is (drumroll, please) I make my dreams happen! I get paid to do what I love – dance. And the best part is, I get to wear my sparkly pink tutus while doing it! This means I've built up a little travel fund through the magical world of ballet. You see, I love to perform and take part in the ballet community - it allows me to chase my tutu-clad dreams, whether it be at a charming local studio or a glittering London theatre.

My London blog post wouldn't be complete without some fun facts and, let's be honest, a touch of sparkle! So here’s the lowdown on my London itinerary:

Friday Frockery & Funky Finds

After arriving in the city, I'm planning a magnificent visit to Covent Garden – it’s basically London’s open-air stage, and I’m hoping to find some lovely little stores I can share with you. I hear the street performers are wonderful too, perhaps a bit of busking inspired by their energy will make its way into my Friday night performance at a small studio.

Saturday Soul and Street Art

Saturday is dedicated to a lovely mix of ballet classes and discovering the London scene! My favourite place for classes is in Shoreditch – the street art there is so vibrant! I adore London's energy. This year, it’s the London Design Festival. I hope to pop into some exhibitions and perhaps discover an artistic treasure that could inspire a new dance routine or even a new costume for the Pink Tutu Blog!

Sunday Serenade & Spectaculars

Sundays are for fabulous musicals and shows. There's nothing like a Sunday evening in the heart of theatreland! You bet I've got my tickets booked - something big and bright that will spark joy, just the way London should! This year, the BBC Proms is going on. Perhaps a bit of classical music will inspire me! It could be anything from a classic musical to a breathtaking opera, a spectacular spectacle of light and colour! It’s truly a day of delight, celebrating all things amazing in London!

You know, London is my muse, a city overflowing with inspiration that keeps me going – even my ballet costume ideas seem to magically pop up out of nowhere. After all, the essence of fashion is finding your personal expression, right? Just remember: never underestimate the power of a well-placed pink tutu and a generous dose of pink power to brighten your day!

Let's bring some sparkle and glamour to the streets of London. Pink Tutu lovers, get your twirls ready! I hope to find you there – perhaps in a vibrant market, maybe by the Serpentine, or perhaps right outside the ballet studio!

Remember to visit www.pink-tutu.com each Friday for my latest blog post. This week, I'll be posting a detailed account of my adventures, my outfit highlights (because let's be honest, we all want to know what tutu I'm wearing!), and even some insider tips for finding those hidden London gems. Don't forget to leave me a comment on my blog; I always love hearing from you all!

Until next Friday, stay sparkly and be kind!

Emma
