Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! (Post #423)

Hello lovelies!

It's Friday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog adventure! This week, I've traded my Derbyshire countryside for the vibrant energy of London!

Tutu Travels by Train

Let's start with the journey, because honestly, a journey by train is just pure magic! I adore those steamy windows and the feeling of gliding through the landscape. Plus, I always manage to pull out my knitting and start creating a new little pink masterpiece – maybe a tutu-sized headband or a fuzzy pink pompom for my next recital costume? The possibilities are endless!

Speaking of which, guess how I fund all these amazing trips? You've got it! By doing what I love most: performing in ballet! My upcoming performances have me twirling and leaping my way through classic ballets and contemporary masterpieces. Honestly, every single performance brings a thrill unlike any other. I feel like I can take on the world!

A Friday in London: Pink Tutu Style

This Friday is all about experiencing London's iconic charm. The city's energy is electrifying, and I’ve already caught the “London Eye”! I had a perfectly pink day, of course.

First, I had a divine afternoon tea at the Fortnum & Mason tea salon – just the right amount of decadent pastries and floral-infused teas to fuel my exploration! And the entire experience was simply too lovely, don't you think? I practically twirled with glee!

My outfit was pure Pink Tutu Magic, naturally. My go-to pink tulle tutu floated with every movement as I strolled through Covent Garden, admiring the street performers. There's something captivating about how a single street musician can bring the entire street to life with music and movement!

My eyes lit up when I spotted the most amazing shop window displays at Liberty, overflowing with intricate fabrics, delicate silks, and gorgeous accessories. My inner shopaholic screamed for freedom – I think it's time for some new inspiration for my next tutu! (Let’s be real, a girl can never have too many tutus).

Seeing Stars in the West End

No trip to London would be complete without a theatre visit! Tonight's show was a stunning ballet production at the Royal Opera House – absolutely incredible! It was almost like I was right there on stage with them, gliding and leaping with every intricate turn!

The Tutu-Wearing Queen of London?

Honestly, this trip is all about feeling inspired by London's creative buzz. The city is bursting with colour and life – and that is the Pink Tutu energy I strive to bring into everything I do. I may be a ballet dancer from Derbyshire, but I have dreams bigger than the London Eye itself – dreams of a world where everyone embraces a little bit of Pink Tutu Magic in their own unique way!

Stay tuned next week

This London adventure is far from over, and you'll definitely hear all about it here on next week’s Friday!

Until then, keep dancing, keep sparkling, and don’t forget to embrace the power of the Pink Tutu!

Love,

Emma

What's On This Week:

If you’re thinking of taking your own Pink Tutu adventure to London, here are some things you might enjoy, inspired by this week’s highlights:

  • Royal Opera House: Explore the schedule for world-class opera and ballet performances - something for every taste. I love their “Discover Programme” for introductions to opera and ballet. They also have tours, talks, and even workshops – maybe even one on Tutu creation?
  • Fortnum & Mason: You simply can't visit London without enjoying afternoon tea at this historic venue. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and the experience feels utterly royal. They have so many incredible foods, I highly recommend trying their own brand chocolates – and who can resist a Pink Gin for the occasion?
  • Covent Garden: I always make a visit here! The open-air piazza offers a vibrant street market experience and street performers. Plus, there are so many cute boutiques to explore! Be sure to take a peek inside the Royal Opera House's Flower Market, just around the corner!

I'll be back next week, lovelies! But before you go, share your thoughts below - tell me your favourite things to do in London, and do you think you’d ever wear a pink tutu for a day in London? I’d love to hear from you!

XOXO,

Emma
