Pink Tutu Blog London: Friday 2008-01-25 - Exploring the Capital in My Pink Tutu! πŸ©°πŸ‘‘

Hey my darling readers! It's Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu-loving ballerina, bringing you the latest from London town! This is blog post number 595, and I'm positively bubbling with excitement, as you all know I love my Friday London trips! This week's adventure involved a whizz down to the capital by train, where I'm embracing all things glitzy and fabulous. πŸ˜‰

As always, I'm living my best life in my favourite pink tutu (I've dubbed this one "Strawberry Delight"!) - and let me tell you, it turned heads all the way to King's Cross Station. I'm truly living proof that tutus aren't just for the stage; they can rock your everyday adventures too!

So, where did I find myself on this whirlwind Friday in London? First stop, the dazzling West End! 🎭 It's like stepping into a fairytale, and this time around I snagged a fab ticket to see "Wicked" - which, honestly, just had me green with envy for those costumes! Seriously, Elphaba's emerald ensemble was beyond magical. I'm feeling inspired to find my own green-hued tutu to wear on my next performance... perhaps a shimmery "Emerald Forest"?

Now, every Friday I dedicate a little time to a special ballet class here in London - and I found this divine studio tucked away in Covent Garden. I swear, I can't help but float out of these sessions on a cloud of sheer joy. My technique is getting better with every session, and who knows, perhaps I'll even be joining a company one day? (One can dream, right?)

But the true highlight of any London trip is, of course, the shopping! πŸ›οΈ And this time around, I couldn't resist indulging in a bit of vintage couture. I discovered the most amazing boutique tucked down a hidden alley in Bloomsbury - and you know how much I love a hidden gem! The selection was a kaleidoscope of colours, textures, and vintage delights - I literally had to force myself to choose only three pieces. A blush pink feather boa, a shimmering gold sequined dress (perfect for a next-level Tutu look), and the most beautiful vintage scarf adorned with sparkling silver stars. πŸ’« I can just picture it wrapped around my pink tutu!

Speaking of tutus, did I mention that I snagged a dream pink tutu with cascading layers of fluffy tulle in a charming shop on Carnaby Street? It’s now my pride and joy! 😍 Oh, the sheer elegance, the endless twirls...

Let's Talk About This Friday:

  • Fashion Forward: If you're in London this Friday, don't miss out on the "The Vogue World: Fashion Show", an extravagant showcase of the hottest fashion trends happening now. It's held at The Old Sorting Office and tickets are selling fast! If you're not in London, check out their livestream for a glimpse of all the sartorial magic.

  • Theatrical Thrills: London's Theatreland is alive with dazzling productions. There's a variety of shows running, from the timeless classic "The Phantom of the Opera" at Her Majesty's Theatre to the Tony award-winning "Come From Away" at the Phoenix Theatre, offering a heartwarming look at human resilience in the aftermath of 9/11. And if you're after a laugh, head over to the Vaudeville Theatre to catch "The Play That Goes Wrong" – you'll be rolling in the aisles!

  • Ballerina Bootcamp: I'm thinking of setting up my own little "Pink Tutu Ballerina Bootcamp" here in London, teaching my fellow fashionistas the finer points of twirling and grand jetΓ©. Who's in? Let me know in the comments below! 🩰

The Magic of Trains and Travel:

You know I'm a big fan of train travel. I simply adore the romantic feeling of gliding through the countryside, especially on a beautiful day like today. The journey is as much a part of the adventure as the destination itself, plus, it allows me to dream up all sorts of fun plans for my London exploits. πŸ˜‰ And this journey was even more special with a vintage record player blasting out my favourite tunes – think Doris Day classics and jazzy tunes from the golden era – pure vintage chic!

I've also made a couple of great train-travel friends on my way to and from London, one even took a photo of me and my Tutu for his blog! So many wonderful people out there in the world just waiting to be introduced to the joy of a pink tutu, so keep your eyes peeled – I may just appear at your station any Friday!

Let's Chat!

And now, I'd love to hear your stories! Where are your favourite spots to explore in London? Have you been to the theatre lately? Share your pink tutu inspiration with me – remember, my goal is to turn the whole world pink, one tutu at a time! πŸ’– And remember to check back next week for my latest London adventure, it's sure to be a pink-tastic experience!

Until then, stay beautiful and twirl on! ✨

Your pink tutu enthusiast,

Emma
