Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! #661

Hello, darling!

It's Friday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog adventure! This week, I'm buzzing with excitement because I'm finally in London! My trusty pink tutu and I packed our bags, hopped on the train from Derbyshire, and embarked on a delightful journey to the bustling heart of England.

Remember, my darlings, my motto is to spread joy and encourage everyone to embrace their inner pink tutu! And what better place to do that than the fabulously vibrant city of London?

The train ride itself was an adventure in itself. As I gazed out the window, the English countryside unfurled like a picturesque painting. Lush green fields, quaint villages, and historic castles all flew by, leaving me filled with a sense of wonder and anticipation for the dazzling city that awaited me.

Speaking of anticipation... my lovely readers know I'm a total sucker for fashion, and London never disappoints. I’ve heard whisperings of a new pop-up boutique on Carnaby Street boasting an eclectic array of vintage and contemporary fashion. It’s like my inner-fashionista just started humming the 'Shopaholic' theme song! And, well, when there's a whisper of pink tutus (yes, even in a vintage store… wishful thinking, darling), I have to check it out, right?

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First things first, tea, darlings, tea! London's famed afternoon tea has always been on my bucket list. So, of course, I'm heading straight to a charming cafe with pastel pink walls and antique china to indulge in scones, finger sandwiches, and of course, an array of delicious little cakes – all accompanied by a pot of steaming hot English tea, because it’s all about the experience, don’t you think?

I plan to explore London’s Covent Garden later. It's a vibrant hub of street performers, quirky shops, and fabulous cafes. I've even heard they have some amazing street dance performances going on there this weekend. Just imagine the rhythmic tutus! Maybe I'll even learn a new step or two.

Speaking of the stage, the big news for this Friday is a performance at the Royal Opera House. The Royal Ballet are putting on a magical performance of ‘Swan Lake' and, let's just say, this ballet queen couldn't resist snagging a coveted ticket. I'm practically giddy with excitement at the prospect of witnessing the exquisite dancers in action. Just picture it - the graceful swans, the passionate romance, and the intricate choreography, all unfolding beneath the majestic chandeliers of the Royal Opera House!

And, oh my goodness, a must-see for all London newcomers? The Tate Modern is an absolute must! The most iconic pieces of modern art right in the heart of London! Just imagine, dear readers, the inspiring colors and dramatic canvases. And guess what? There’s also a pink and purple tutu sculpture at the front entrance, if you're lucky enough to catch it. I might be completely wrong about that. You’ll have to let me know what you see if you’re ever there!

But London is not all glamour and dance, you know. For a taste of authentic London history, I’m definitely heading to Buckingham Palace. Can you imagine taking a peek at the Queen's home and imagining all the history those walls hold? There’s definitely something regal about that thought, even for someone as unabashedly extra as myself!

Later on, after all the dancing and exploring, I'm going to head to one of London's famous gastropubs for a delicious meal. Nothing says ‘London experience’ like a juicy burger with creamy mashed potatoes and a good pint of English ale, or maybe a scrumptious Sunday roast! Don't forget, you just have to wear pink while you eat in the pub. Just a hint of pink! It brightens the mood!

Now, my lovelies, I'm off to grab my camera and put on my favorite pink tutu. After all, a pink tutu adds that perfect touch of whimsy and colour to any adventure, and my mission in London, my darlings, is to bring some sparkle to everyone's day! And hopefully inspire a few people to rock a pink tutu themselves! Because there’s just something so magical about pink tutus, don’t you agree?

Don't forget to check back next week, for another exciting Pink Tutu Blog adventure! Until then, remember to stay pink and beautiful, my lovelies!

**Love,

Emma x**

P.S. This Friday’s highlights:

  • Covent Garden Street Performances: Let’s see if I can learn any cool dance moves. I love a street performance! I’ll make sure I get some good pics, of course, and some fun reels too!

  • Royal Opera House – Swan Lake: This will be one for the memory books, that’s for sure. I’ve seen a Swan Lake ballet in Buxton, and even watched the movie with my sisters, but I’m really looking forward to a real-live performance. Maybe I’ll get inspired for my own performance!

  • **Tate Modern: I will most definitely post some photos and insights. Art, I tell you, is inspirational, even when it comes to tutus. The creative side of art comes from somewhere, and you never know when an inspiring work will bring about your next, creative design.

  • **Pink Tutu in London: Don’t forget to send me pics of you rocking your pink tutu. Maybe I’ll have some pink tutu London photo shoot suggestions in the blog post next week, right?

Have a fabulous week! And please do remember that every day is an opportunity to embrace the pink tutu spirit, wherever you are in the world! It’s all about embracing yourself! You do you, and I will do me.
