Pink Tutu Blog: London Adventures - Post #713 - Friday, 30th April 2010

Hello my darlings!

Welcome back to the Pink Tutu Blog! It's a glorious Friday morning, the sun is shining, and I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement because I'm in London! That's right, I traded the rolling hills of Derbyshire for the bustling streets of the Big Smoke and my pink tutu is practically twirling with joy.

Train Journey Bliss

I woke up early this morning, popped on my favourite pink ballet cardigan (it just goes with everything, you know!) and headed down to the station. It was so lovely to watch the countryside blur past the window while I listened to my playlist of showtunes, humming along of course. Nothing beats a good train journey to get me into the right mood for an adventure!

The Royal Albert Hall and The Pink Tutu Effect

My first stop was the Royal Albert Hall. What a grand and glorious place! They have some incredible performances there and I was so lucky to get tickets to see "Giselle" this week - the beauty of the ballet was utterly captivating! The whole atmosphere at the Albert Hall just takes your breath away. And, believe it or not, a handful of people spotted my pink tutu and gave me huge smiles! It's truly a universal language of joy and I'm so proud to spread it. Pink tutus bring everyone together!

Fashionable Shopping Therapy

Next up was a spot of retail therapy at Liberty London - a stunning department store, full of incredible brands and even more amazing designs. I had to fight the urge to buy everything, but I finally managed to restrain myself. I just couldn't resist a beautiful, delicate silk scarf though - it's a gorgeous shade of coral pink! You'll have to wait and see how I style it later! Oh, and the cutest pair of ballet pumps. Pink of course! They are perfectly comfy and perfect for all the exploring I have planned today.

Afternoon Delight: Covent Garden

After a quick bite to eat - and trust me, I indulged in a delicious slice of victoria sponge cake - it was off to Covent Garden. I can't resist its charming atmosphere, with all the buskers, artists, and the amazing food stalls. It really makes you feel like you're in the heart of the city. Oh! And, while I was there, I was fortunate enough to catch a couple of Street Performers - such talent! I found myself mesmerized by their passion and energy.

A Breath of Fresh Air in Hyde Park

You know I love a bit of greenery after a long day exploring a busy city. So, it was straight off to Hyde Park. I am so delighted by the vast expanse of green - and it's absolutely buzzing with life, from families enjoying the sunshine to dog walkers taking their furry friends for a stroll. There are also boats on the Serpentine, and people cycling all over the place, plus you know I love a good walk. It's all very beautiful!

Pink Tutu Sunset

To end my day in style, I made my way down to the Thames, taking a lovely leisurely stroll by the riverbank to watch the sun set over the city skyline. It was just magical! The warm orange glow against the buildings and the rippling river below โ€“ it was pure poetry! The setting sun even cast a gorgeous pink glow on my tutu, making it look absolutely stunning!

Time To Sleep Tight and Dream Big

Now, it's time to head back to my cosy little hotel. It's tucked away on a quiet street, a far cry from the bustle of the city centre. But tomorrow, Iโ€™ll be back in the thicker of it again โ€“ ready for more fun adventures. I can't wait to see what London holds for me. Until then, donโ€™t forget to follow me on my socials for live updates and the inside scoop on all my pink tutu travels.

Sweet dreams, darlings!

Love, Emma
