This week I’ve left the rolling hills and quaint villages of Derbyshire behind for the vibrant pulse of London! The train journey was pure bliss, you know how much I adore the rhythmic chug-chug of a good old-fashioned railway journey. I couldn't resist twirling a little in my pink tutu (the one with the shimmery tulle, if you must know) as I glanced out the window at the English countryside whizzing by. 🚄
London! What a dream! The sheer energy of the city is contagious. It’s intoxicating. It feels like I could just burst with ideas for my new Pink Tutu collection (keep those eyes peeled for my online store launch - it’s nearly here!) 🛍️💖
London Loves Tutu! It seems London is a haven for the tutu-loving soul like myself. I saw no less than three girls rocking tutus on the tube this morning! (The ones on the Underground are even more glamorous - trust me!). 🚇💖 It’s almost like the tutus are beckoning me! Come and twirl with us, darling! You can even do it without dancing! Don't tell the ballet teacher! 🙈😜 The world just looks a bit brighter and a bit more magical with a little twirling magic in our lives!
Dancing With The Stars! And what’s London without a visit to a fabulous ballet performance, right? Well, this Friday I was blessed with tickets to see "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Royal Opera House, oh my! (They’re putting on “Cinderella” later this month, it’s already sold out though! How lucky am I to have secured these tickets - all thanks to a generous donation to my dance studio! I feel incredibly lucky! ). The dancers, the costumes, the music – pure magic! And that finale, well, I’m still dancing from it.
High Street Heaven You already know that my heart belongs to shopping! London is a true paradise for fashion lovers like myself, and I am positively giddy with all the pink dresses, tutus and everything glittery that my eyes can handle! I am in shopping heaven! Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, even Covent Garden Market… there’s an abundance of sparkly, glamorous and fabulous finds at every turn. If you want some pink and glitter in your life – then London is the place to be. I already know that some of my Pink Tutu finds will be making a grand appearance in my online store, I have already earmarked some amazing fabrics that will feature in a new line of my dance wear – watch out for that! 🤩
Eating, Twirling, & Repeat I'm so excited to tell you all about my adventures here in London – I am loving my stay at the charming Bed & Breakfast I found in Kensington. It’s super girly! The lady that runs it has been super helpful giving me amazing restaurant recommendations! You already know I like my meals with a side of glitz and glamour – that’s why I just have to mention the wonderful little “The Rosebud” tea room – all afternoon tea, pink china, floral delights and delicate finger sandwiches! They even do mini cupcakes! Cue an absolute explosion of delight in my Pink Tutu-wearing heart. 💖
Back to Derbyshire (but only for a week) And as much as I'd love to linger in London for evermore (really, the allure is incredible!), I have a tutu to twirl, a show to prepare for, and the countryside calling. I will return to Derbyshire on Saturday - the train is ready to whisk me back, my new purchases in tow! (I hope my wardrobe has room! 😂)
