Pink Tutu Blog London: #787 - Friday, September 30th: Tutu-ing Around Town!

Hello darlings! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, ready to share my London adventures with you all. It's Friday, which means it's time for another blog post, this time straight from the bustling heart of London.

You know I love exploring, and this week, it was the big smoke's turn! After a whirlwind performance last night at the Buxton Opera House – which I must say, went down a storm – I woke up feeling bright and excited, packed my pink tutu bag (pink everything, obviously) and hopped on the train to London.

I absolutely adore train journeys – the gentle swaying, the anticipation of arriving in a new city, and the ability to be fully immersed in my book (this week it's "The Secret Garden" - a timeless classic, I highly recommend it!)… all makes for the perfect travel experience. Plus, it gives me time to dream up the latest outfits, imagine my explorations and of course, write these posts for you all.

Today's focus was all about fashion and fun, so after arriving at London St Pancras (an absolute architectural beauty!), my first stop was Liberty London. The quintessential British department store is an absolute delight – from the Liberty print everything (think beautiful, bright fabric and floral patterns) to the most elegant and exquisitely made clothes and accessories. I swear, you can just about smell fashion history in the air. I snagged myself the most adorable vintage inspired scarf, in… you guessed it, pink! It goes perfectly with my latest tutu and even matched my lipstick - sigh pure girly delight.

After Liberty, a little pitstop was necessary, so I popped into the charming Liberty Café (just to get my afternoon tea fix!) with a delicate scone and Earl Grey tea, all nestled amongst beautiful decor.

Next up, the ultimate fashion extravaganza: Oxford Street! It's truly a retail haven - a shopper's paradise. I swear, my eyes were just darting everywhere taking it all in. While it was tempting to buy everything in sight, I did manage to stick to a very specific mission - finding a special tutu for a vintage ballet themed party I'm attending next week. Let’s just say it's perfect! It’s this soft lilac colour, with a sparkly trim - absolutely divine, and the most delightful shade of lilac.

My evening was filled with the magic of live performance! The Royal Ballet was showcasing their season at the Royal Opera House this weekend. The beautiful costumes and delicate choreography captivated me as they spun tales of romance and heartache through dance. And yes, even if I’m a tad biased, the sheer athleticism and grace of those dancers always blows my mind!

As the performance drew to a close, I left the theatre feeling inspired and refreshed. My little tutu heart is so full of happy. It was another night of magical performance in a city where dreams take flight – the true magic of London!

It was a whirlwind of fashion, tea and tutu magic that left me completely inspired. I know some might think it's crazy, wearing a tutu in London – but I say, who's stopping you?! Embrace your inner ballerina and don your most dazzling, delightful tutu!

Let’s get pink, London!

Catch you all next Friday!
