Hey my lovely Tutu Twirlers! 🩰💖
It's Friday again, which means it's time for a fresh #PinkTutuBlogLondon post, straight from the heart of the city! I've just hopped off the train from Derbyshire and I'm already feeling that London buzz. It's a thrill that never gets old, arriving in the big smoke. 🚂
Speaking of arriving in style, this week I've pulled out a brand new, bubblegum pink tutu just for London. It's got this fabulous, iridescent sheen, and I think it's perfect for all the sparkly lights and bright shops London has to offer. I might even wear it to see the Royal Ballet tonight! 🤫🤫
Now, as many of you know, I fund my travels with my ballet performances - it's my way of combining two of my biggest passions: dancing and exploring. 💃🌏 I always feel such a buzz after a show, full of excitement and ready to hit the town!
So, onto the fun stuff... I’ve packed my little pink suitcase (it matches my new tutu, naturally!), filled to the brim with all the London essentials: a sparkly clutch, a bright pink umbrella (just in case!), and my trusty copy of The Londoner's Diary.
Today's Agenda:
Today, we’re taking a whirlwind tour of London, focusing on all the girly bits! You know, the bits I love – ballet, shopping, tea, and a sprinkle of theatre magic. Because there's nothing like a day in London, full of pretty things, delicious treats, and that certain London charm that makes you want to twirl until the sun goes down. 💖
First Stop: Ballet Inspiration!
I've been dying to see the Royal Opera House's latest production, Giselle! It's a timeless ballet masterpiece, and I know it’ll be amazing to see it in the historic Covent Garden. There's something so romantic and enchanting about the story, and I can’t wait to see how the dancers bring it to life on stage. 🩰👑
Afterwards, a trip to the ballet bookstore is a must – I love getting a good look at those beautiful dance books, especially those featuring elegant dancers in twirling tutus!
Shopping Therapy:
The afternoon is dedicated to the joys of shopping in London! I’ve got my eyes on some darling accessories to complete my London look. Think cute vintage hats, statement jewellery, and of course, a pair of shoes worthy of a ballet star. 👠👜👒
Maybe even a stop at a high-street department store for some gorgeous new tulle, to get inspired for my next tutu creation. Can you believe my next one might even be turquoise? The colour has been popping up everywhere recently! (Stay tuned for a blog post on this fabulous shade of blue!).
Time for Tea!
Every London trip deserves a delightful afternoon tea. There's a charm to sitting down to a pot of tea and scones, with all the lovely sandwiches and pastries, while soaking up the atmosphere of a quaint tea room. I imagine it's how royalty spend their afternoon! ☕🍰
Final Flourish: A Touch of Theatre Magic!
The evening is all about enjoying London's incredible theatre scene. Maybe we'll catch a performance at the West End or the Globe, and if we’re lucky, the show will feature a lovely dancer! After all, it's never too early to inspire a young generation of tutued twirlers. 😉
