Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! 🩰💖 #922

Hello darlings! It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Pink Tutu Blog post, and this week I’m bringing you all the glitz and glamour of London town! 🇬🇧

Last night, after a whirlwind performance in Derby, I packed my suitcase with my favourite pink tutu (of course!) and boarded the train for London. There's something truly magical about travelling by train. It’s like stepping back in time, but with better seats and delicious tea! 🚂☕️

Arriving in London was a sensory overload. The bustling crowds, the iconic red buses, and the sheer scale of it all - London is truly a city that never sleeps! But for me, the best part of the whole experience is the excitement of discovering something new around every corner. 💖

So, what did I get up to on my first day in London? Let’s dive in!

Morning: Ballet, Beauty and Brunch

I started my day with a little ballet class at the Dance Place in Hackney. Now, this wasn’t just any ordinary class, it was a special 'tutu and tea' session designed to unleash your inner ballerina - in a tutu, of course! We stretched, twirled, and leaped in a room adorned with floral wallpaper, and even had some delicious pastries afterwards. I’m convinced you can achieve any dream if you simply believe you can - and believe me, darling, that tutu-wearing attitude was certainly present in this class! 😉

Afterwards, I wandered through the quaint streets of Shoreditch and treated myself to a lovely little brunch at one of the many cute cafés tucked away in hidden corners. The smoked salmon and avocado on toast was divine, and I had a wonderfully pink latte that matched my mood perfectly! 🍓

Afternoon: A Royal Affair

No trip to London is complete without a visit to the royal family, so I headed over to Buckingham Palace. It's simply majestic. I mean, imagine living in a palace with that much history and grandeur! I couldn’t resist taking a few snaps of the royal guards and imagining myself living this extravagant life! I wouldn’t mind having a royal wardrobe and a team of personal stylists - especially since they always look impeccable in every photograph! 👑

Next up, it was time to explore a bit more of London's vibrant fashion scene. After a quick detour for some decadent afternoon tea in the charming district of Kensington (of course, complete with pink macarons!), I stumbled upon a hidden vintage treasure trove called The Vintage Emporium on King's Road. Inside, racks upon racks of glamorous dresses, quirky coats and stylish accessories beckoned to me like sirens. I found a delightful silk scarf in shades of pink, the perfect addition to my pink tutu ensemble, and let me tell you, it was the cherry on top of a truly wonderful day. 💖

Evening: An Ode to the Performing Arts

As evening descended upon the city, I was in the mood for a dose of theatrical magic. Tonight, the dazzling “La Bohème” was being staged at the London Coliseum. The singing was breathtaking, the acting was heartfelt, and the costumes were absolutely stunning. There was something about the grandeur of the theatre, the elegant red velvet seats, and the intoxicating smell of old books that transported me back to the golden age of ballet. I practically felt like I was dancing along with the characters, even in the midst of a full house! ✨

The entire night left me utterly enthralled. And as I made my way back to my cosy little Airbnb flat, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the magical experience of being in London. This city truly has it all! 💕

London Musings: Fashion & Flair

One thing I've observed about Londoners is their unique flair for fashion. It’s all about individuality. There are no rules. The only rule is to embrace your inner fashion icon! Walking down Oxford Street was an experience, with so many different styles on display. I saw people sporting bold, colorful looks, classic Parisian chic, and even the occasional quirky street-style masterpiece.

And let's talk about London shops! From the sprawling department stores on Oxford Street to the chic boutiques tucked away in charming alleyways, every corner has a treasure waiting to be discovered. Whether you’re searching for a new tutu or just browsing for some delightful knick-knacks, you're sure to find something to tickle your fancy. 😉
