#PinkTutuBlogLondon - Post 965 - Exploring London, one twirl at a time! šŸ©°šŸŒø

Hello darlings! Itā€™s Friday, which means it's time for another #PinkTutuBlogLondon adventure! Today, Iā€™m spilling the tea on my whirlwind trip to London - a perfect blend of ballet, fashion, and fabulousness!

Let's be honest, London is always a treat, but it feels extra special after a chilly train journey from Derbyshire. I love the gentle rhythm of the train journey, and it's the perfect time for me to dream up my London escapades. I was determined to cram as much fun and fabulousness into this day as humanly possible - with my trusty pink tutu, of course! šŸ˜‰

This week, I was inspired by a couple of upcoming performances. The Royal Ballet is presenting Romeo & Juliet at the Royal Opera House. (Oh, the drama!). The performance will be held in the stunning grand hall. Can't you just picture a grand tutu fit for a royal ball? cue the dramatic music and the swish of a silken fabric. The tickets are going to be snapped up, but fingers crossed I get lucky with a last-minute release!

And to keep my own steps nimble and toes pointy, I also need to make time for ballet class! It seems Iā€™ve got an unfortunate case of ā€œballet-itisā€ (always a good thing in my book). šŸ˜‰ Youā€™d think I'd be immune, having taken class for as long as I can remember, but a little ballet refresher is just what the doctor ordered! My aim is to always stay fit, strong and gracefully twirling. Ballet, oh how I adore thee.

*So, whatā€™s on the #PinkTutu agenda today? *

My plan is to spend the day taking in some of Londonā€™s sights and maybe some window-shopping, with a pit stop at my favorite tutu boutique - oh, and who knows what other goodies I might find! You see, when it comes to pink, I simply cannot resist a little retail therapy. Itā€™s the secret sauce of my wardrobe, darlings!

Of course, Iā€™ll be sharing my London adventures with you through Instagram and my Twitter feed. Be sure to follow along @PinkTutuBlogLondon, because you just never know what fabulous surprises might await! And maybe, just maybe, you'll get a glimpse of my own pink tutu journeyā€¦

Speaking of my favourite pink tutu - I just HAVE to tell you about the darling little boutique I found called "Pink Paradise". I literally squealed with delight when I found it hidden down a quaint street just off Covent Garden!

The windows were filled with every colour of tutu you could possibly imagine! The best bit, though, is that they had a special pink corner dedicated toā€¦ wait for itā€¦ tutus made entirely of pink! I was a bit like a kid in a candy store (minus the sugar crash!). Naturally, I couldnā€™t resist bringing home a couple of gorgeous pink wonders - just because I had to! I might just need another tutu (or two, or three). Letā€™s just say, I went a bit overboard with the "Pink Paradise" shopping spree, but you just canā€™t say no to the allure of such a divine collection. The shopkeeper, a lovely lady called Maggie, was absolutely tickled with my tutu-mania. She even offered me a special discount for being a fellow pink enthusiast. You know what they say - ā€œIf you love something, make sure you share it with the world.ā€

After a quick pitstop at my new favourite tutu haven, it was time to explore Londonā€™s iconic sights! I couldnā€™t resist snapping a couple of pics with Buckingham Palace in the background, obviously wearing my new, stunning pink tutu! Itā€™s a beautiful landmark, especially when bathed in the golden glow of the afternoon sun. Then it was time to visit another landmark - London Bridge. It's an incredible architectural marvel! Even my fellow passengers were giving me curious glances as I made my way across the bridge with my fabulous tutu - itā€™s all about adding a little je ne sais quoi to your travels.

And of course, no visit to London is complete without a trip to the iconic red buses. London has this brilliant vintage charm! The dayā€™s festivities called for a celebratory treat at one of the cute cafĆ©s. I opted for a classic Victoria sponge cake, as that's what you do when in London! It was pure perfection - fluffy, delicate, and oh so tasty. Paired with a refreshing pot of tea, it was simply heavenly.

In the evening, the vibrant buzz of theatreland awaited me. Tonightā€™s highlight was a magical performance at the Palladium, showcasing incredible acrobatic skills and thrilling dance routines - pure artistic brilliance. Itā€™s simply captivating!

Of course, I couldn't resist capturing the magic on my Instagram stories! You know, there are moments you have to share! So keep an eye on my social media as there will be more pink-tastic adventures on there soon, as well as plenty of dancing moments. šŸ˜‰

London has a charm all its own! The people, the landmarks, the buzz ā€“ it all blends into a delightful, ever-changing canvas. And just like a perfectly spun tutu, London invites you to whirl around and embrace its beauty. I may be just one ballerina with a big dream (and a love of tutus), but I am a huge fan of London! Itā€™s a city that truly inspires creativity, sparks joy, and gives you permission to express yourself with joy and passion - and that, darlings, is truly what life is all about. So letā€™s twirl with confidence, make new discoveries, and always be open to exploring lifeā€™s possibilities, one twirl at a time. Until next time, happy twirling!

#PinkTutuExtra!

Speaking of tutus, I am SO excited to announce that this weekā€™s ballet performances are benefitting a new charity supporting young ballerinas with scholarships and mentoring! We're raising funds through a unique online auction for a chance to win a personal tutu fitting experience with ME. I'm already picking out some stunning, one-of-a-kind tutus, and even hinting about how a personalized tutu can add a certain spark to your wardrobe! Head to www.pink-tutu.com to bid and help young dancers realise their dreams!

Iā€™ll keep you posted on how the charity auction goes - and who knows, perhaps youā€™ll see some amazing pink tutus worn by budding young ballerinas on stage soon.

Fashion alert!

Talking about sparkly and fabulous, this Friday's fashion focus is on the "London Look". Think effortless chic and a touch of timeless glamour, all while showcasing a bit of pink, of course. Itā€™s all about blending comfort and style in the most charming way! This week, Iā€™m focusing on chic midi skirts - especially pink ones, paired with oversized sweaters and chunky heels - just add a tutu for a little extra fun!

But what is pink, after all? Pink isn't just a color - itā€™s a statement! It's about celebrating our unique beauty, expressing confidence, and a playful dose of femininity! And a tutu - that's an attitude. Itā€™s about embracing the power of dreams, defying the ordinary, and spinning your way into an amazing world.

You can't be afraid to stand out - remember, when it comes to the colour pink, there's always room to be bolder, shine brighter, and let your inner ballerina twirl free! *

And here are some fun things happening in London on Friday 27th of February 2015 * A dazzling performance of ā€œSleeping Beauty" at the English National Ballet, featuring stunning sets and a beautiful soundtrack! (perfect for some pink tutu inspiration!šŸ˜‰) * A spectacular "Carnival" in Southbank, with music, parades, and traditional food - what better place for a ballerina to soak up the energy of the city. * A fun art exhibition highlighting the history of ā€œThe Pink Flamingoā€. This cheeky bird is known for its playful style - just like our dear friend the pink tutu, wouldn't you say? * A charming book launch, "London's Pink Tea Rooms," detailing London's enchanting tea room culture with its adorable pink teacups. I've got to pop by - what's a tea lover without a little pink in their life?! šŸ˜‰

And for those who like their ballet history, The Royal Opera House's website is offering a special Friday night talk on ā€œThe Evolution of the Ballet Shoe". If you've got any burning questions about the dance world's history - this talk's for you!

So, darlings, let's embrace Friday with all the glamour, fun, and just a little bit of twirling magic London has to offer. Donā€™t forget to take a peek at this week's #PinkTutuLondon photos on Instagram - the more we twirl, the more beautiful the world becomes! āœØ
