#PinkTutuBlogLondon: Friday 2016-12-23 - A Tutu-tastic London Adventure!
Hey darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, back with another #PinkTutuBlogLondon! I can't believe it's the 23rd already – December always flies by, doesn't it? I hope you're all getting into the festive spirit, but no matter what time of year, London is a magical city, and today, I'm going to take you on my London adventures!
As usual, I travelled in by train, that delightful click-clacking, window-watching journey always feels like the start of a magical day! I love the rhythm of the rails, and let's be honest, what's more chic than arriving in London by train?
Today's tutu is a vintage one – a light pink, with the fluffiest tulle I've ever seen. It reminds me of spun sugar, which is quite appropriate because London is about to get sprinkled with some festive sugar! This outfit is so comfy and airy, perfect for all the exploring I have planned! I paired it with my new blush-coloured knitted cardigan, a dash of glitter eye shadow, and my trusty pink leather satchel. It's an ensemble that's both sophisticated and playful, just like London itself!
Speaking of playtime, today's adventures started with a visit to the Royal Ballet School. Oh, my sweet darlings, the magic of that place! I've been taking classes there for years, and I never, ever get tired of feeling that energy buzzing in the halls. It's inspiring to see these young talents practicing, their dedication and passion shining through! And speaking of inspiration, this visit reminded me of my biggest wish: to get everyone twirling in a pink tutu!
Think about it – what better way to spread joy than with the fluffy, feminine embrace of a tutu? Imagine seeing a pink cloud of tulle in the office, or at the park, or even in parliament! That's my dream!
Anyway, after the ballet school, it was off to the theatre district for the Matilda the Musical. This was a birthday treat for myself, and oh, it was incredible! The young cast was incredible – so talented, with voices that seemed to soar through the air! I felt my heart soar along with those enchanting tunes. The music was brilliant, the costumes were stunning, and I swear the little Matildas almost made me cry! There's something about watching children tap into such incredible talent that just melts your heart, and I'm already planning to bring my niece next time.
And, of course, no London adventure is complete without a shopping spree! It just wouldn't be right! After the play, I ventured to Oxford Street, my personal mecca for all things girly and fabulous! From shimmering Christmas baubles to glittering handbags, I found myself in a wonderland of possibilities. And my purse is happy to report that it wasn't left completely empty, which is always a plus! I even treated myself to a pair of adorable pink ballet pumps from a cute boutique near Bond Street – it's never too late for new shoes!
This evening, I'm off to Harrods for a festive light display and to catch the Christmas carolers in action! Then, after a spot of late-night window shopping, I'm taking a long, hot bubble bath in my hotel. I love soaking in a bubble bath after a big day of exploring, I add in rose petals for extra decadence and some soft candlelight, I can't think of a better way to relax.
I also want to tell you about something exciting for next week. On Friday the 30th, I'll be taking ballet class with the Royal Ballet School dancers at their White Lodge! Can you believe it?! This is going to be amazing, I’m so excited to dance with some true ballet icons. I will make sure to film some behind the scenes snippets to share with you all.
My #PinkTutuBlogLondon journey continues tomorrow! I have a full schedule of shows and activities planned, including a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum – always a fashion feast! I might even have a new pink tutu or two to unveil. Be sure to check back in for more London delights.
I can't wait to share it all with you!

Postscript
Emma’s day had been long, and while she’d thoroughly enjoyed it, a wave of tiredness washed over her. As she sipped a glass of red wine in her hotel room, she scrolled through her phone, catching up on messages and posts from followers.
It struck her – a lot of what she saw was people talking about the woes of modern life, anxieties, and insecurities. Sure, it wasn’t a bad thing to share those experiences, but Emma felt a desire to use her blog to spread positivity, and a little pink magic.
"We all have good days and bad days," she murmured, tapping on her phone, a new post idea sparking in her mind.
“Even on those bad days, we can still choose a touch of colour, a sprinkle of joy, and maybe a twirl in a tutu,” she typed, her heart filled with a determined cheer. “This blog is more than just about outfits, it’s about remembering to make the most of every moment – no matter how small. You never know who you might inspire!"
Her eyes drifted back to the picture on her screen – a woman twirling in a bright pink tutu against a London sunset. A pink cloud of happiness. A gentle reminder, that life is a little more exciting when we all wear pink!
This Friday, Emma would share her thoughts, reminding everyone – whether they were dancing on a stage or facing everyday challenges – that a touch of pink could make a world of difference. And as the weekend dawned, Emma, wrapped in her vintage pink tutu, smiled at the thought of bringing a little joy to the world, one fluffy tulle layer at a time.
