Hello darlings! It's Friday, which means it's time for another #PinkTutuBlogLondon post! I'm absolutely buzzing because I'm spending the weekend in London, my absolute favourite city in the whole wide world.
The train journey up from Derbyshire was blissfully peaceful, allowing me to fully immerse myself in a good book (a collection of poetry by Sylvia Plath, if you're curious!) and daydream about all the exciting adventures waiting for me in the capital. There's just something so special about arriving in London by train - you get a glimpse of the bustling city life through the window, with its iconic red buses, grand buildings, and the vibrant, infectious energy that London radiates.
Pink Power!
Speaking of radiating energy, you can't miss my pink tutu today, obviously! I chose a gorgeous bubblegum pink tulle tutu paired with a fitted white blouse, and a stylish, slightly oversized blush pink blazer. Just the right balance of elegance and playful femininity, perfect for exploring a city as magnificent as London. I just adore the way it twirls, and it feels like pure magic as I step out of the station, ready to soak in the atmosphere.
London on Friday: The Heart of the City
Now, I must confess, I am utterly obsessed with the theatre scene in London, so this weekend, I'm focusing on the West End! I have to see "The Book of Mormon," because, darling, everyone says it's a hilarious must-see! My Mum had even offered me a lovely pair of diamond earrings if I convinced her to come with me (oh, she was skeptical!). Of course, a night out at the theatre wouldn't be complete without a top-tier showstopper outfit. Let's just say a sprinkle of sequins and a hint of feather boa will be involved (just imagine the pictures!).
From Ballet to Boutique: The Fashion Fiend
But my day isn't just about theatrical glamour, no darling! A bit of retail therapy is essential for any proper #PinkTutuBlogLondon day, and with London brimming with the best fashion in the world, well, where else would I be? My plan for today includes browsing the shops in Knightsbridge - Harrods, darling! Fortnum & Mason might make an appearance, as will a cheeky pop-in to Liberty, just to soak in their vintage charm. There are just so many stunning boutiques to be found in London! And oh, don't even get me started on their independent vintage shops - I'm hoping to snag some fabulous, unique pieces for the #PinkTutu style, don't you worry.
Dinner & Drinks with a Side of Stargazing
Later this evening, I have dinner plans at one of the most romantic places in London - The Shard! Imagine, a delicious meal overlooking the entire city bathed in the soft glow of dusk. I might just sneak in a cheeky glass of prosecco for good measure! After dinner, a delightful friend of mine suggested we see if we could find a performance in Covent Garden - a ballet, maybe? It's going to be an absolutely fantastic, whirlwind evening, I just know it!
Living a Life of Pink and Twirling
You know, darling, sometimes I really feel like I'm living the life I dreamt about when I was a little girl twirling in my very first pink tutu. From those childhood dreams of dancing under a stage light, to travelling the world in pursuit of all things beautiful and inspiring, I'm truly embracing this journey called life. I always say, darling, life is too short to be anything other than fabulous, and let's be honest, what's more fabulous than a pink tutu?
