Pink Tutu Blog London: #1088 - Friday 2017-07-07 - Tutu-ing Around London Town!

Hello, lovelies! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, back with another London adventure. This week, I hopped on the train from my Derbyshire home, ready to conquer the capital in my favourite shade of pink (you know I'm obsessed with the colour!) and a new twirly tutu, perfect for a day of exploring and ballet-inspired fun.

Train Travel Adventures:

The train journey is always an exciting part of my trips. This week, the train journey felt particularly magical. As I looked out the window, the sun was shining, casting golden rays across the fields, and I imagined myself as a graceful ballerina dancing amongst the daisies and sunflowers. The gentle swaying of the train mimicked the rhythm of my favourite ballet piece, "Swan Lake", and the cheerful chatter of fellow passengers added a delightful musical backdrop to my journey. By the time I reached King's Cross Station, I was brimming with anticipation, ready to start my London escapades.

Fashion Finds & Tutu Delights:

After I'd collected my suitcase, which was predictably crammed with pink dresses and tulle accessories, I headed to Oxford Street for some retail therapy. My favourite boutique, "Little Pink Boutique" on Regent Street, never fails to impress. It's a dream come true for a girl with a passion for pink and frills, and I managed to pick up a dazzling pair of pink satin pumps that sparkled like little stars. They’re going to be the perfect footwear for my evening ballet class at the Royal Opera House.

Ballet Beauty:

As I sashayed down Regent Street, I was in my element, feeling the pink vibes radiating from me! People were stopping me to admire my tutu and take photos, and I always happily pose for them, after all, my aim is to spread the tutu love far and wide. Of course, no London adventure is complete without a ballet performance. I had a wonderful evening at the Royal Opera House, watching "The Nutcracker" performed by the Royal Ballet. It was absolutely mesmerizing; the dancers' movements were breathtaking, the costumes exquisite, and the music simply transported me to another world. The swirling tutus and leaps of the ballerinas ignited my own dance spirit.

London Delights:

I felt that my pink tutu and I were practically gliding through London streets! On Friday, the sun was shining, which made exploring Hyde Park so enjoyable, a highlight being the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. As I walked through the park, I stopped to admire the majestic Royal Albert Hall, where so many talented artists have performed. I can already picture myself twirling on its iconic stage! The day was a perfect blend of fashion, ballet and London culture, and as the day began to draw to a close, I felt a surge of energy to embrace the next day’s adventures.

Theatre Magic:

On Friday evening, the streets of London came alive with a thrilling theatrical performance that I was lucky to see – the world famous "The Phantom of the Opera" musical at Her Majesty's Theatre. The incredible costumes and sets made this performance spectacular and so entertaining. There was just the right amount of suspense, comedy and romance to make me smile, cry, laugh and feel thoroughly entertained! As the final curtain fell on another London adventure, I realized that the city always leaves a bit of magic lingering.

Sharing the Joy:

You know me, I love to share the joy of ballet, and I am so happy that I’ve met some amazing fellow ballet enthusiasts during my trip. While I was enjoying the ballet, I was struck by how wonderfully expressive people are when they love a show, they really bring it to life. I chatted with an older gentleman in the cafe who explained how the dance reminded him of his wife's childhood days as a ballet dancer.

As a lover of dance, and of pink tutus, I love the camaraderie that comes from connecting with others who share my passions!

Until Next Week…

This London escapade has been a whirlwind of fashion, culture, and the sheer delight of a city buzzing with creativity. This blog is just a snapshot of a brilliant trip, and my website www.pink-tutu.com has loads more images of all the fabulous outfits and accessories that caught my eye this weekend. I’m already looking forward to returning next Friday for more explorations of London and for more posts here on my blog!

Remember to live life in full color, just like me!

See you soon,

Emma xoxo
