This Friday, I’ve ditched the Derbyshire countryside and boarded the train to London! Yes, my lovelies, I’m back in the city I call my second home! The feeling of arriving at King’s Cross is electric – the whiff of coffee, the clatter of suitcases, and the thrill of seeing a brand new city unfold. I'm ready to take London by storm, and believe me, I'm planning on doing just that!
Now, before I spill the beans on all my fun Friday plans, a little update about me! I recently dazzled at a charity ballet performance in the heart of Buxton, raising a good chunk of cash towards my travels! My pink tulle was truly glowing under the spotlight, inspiring everyone to dream in a swirl of tutus and twirls! And yes, I had a blast! Who knew dancing with a tutu and a cause could be so rewarding?
But let’s get back to the action! My heart is beating with excitement as I write this. I can’t believe I’m in London for another whirlwind day. London on Friday feels different – more electric, more dynamic. The shops are bursting with seasonal delights, the streets thrum with a vibrant energy, and the anticipation of a fab weekend hangs thick in the air.
This Friday is all about embracing the festive cheer and exploring London’s fabulous nooks and crannies. I'm a huge fan of hopping around markets, so first up is a trip to Covent Garden. Its whimsical Victorian architecture always sweeps me off my feet, and the lively atmosphere is infectious! They've even added some adorable festive touches – twinkling fairy lights and wooden chalets with seasonal delights. Perfect for a photo opportunity, wouldn’t you say?
Speaking of photos, can you even imagine how glamorous I’ll be with all my festive photo opportunities in front of the London Eye? This city is my stage, and I’m ready for my close-up. Watch out London, here comes pink!
Next up, a pilgrimage to my beloved Liberty London. You simply cannot be in London without indulging in its magical Victorian vibe and its incredible collection of treasures. From colourful prints to elegant designs, Liberty's fashion is always right up my alley. And who knows, I might just find myself a new, irresistible pink tutu for next week’s adventures. I simply cannot resist the charm of a vintage-inspired, London-designed tulle masterpiece.
Then, it’s time for some indulgence in the form of high tea! My Friday wouldn’t be complete without a quintessential British experience. I've been hearing whispers of this enchanting new tea salon on Covent Garden’s Coburg Street called The Pretty Flamingo – so pink! With its Parisian charm, fluffy pastries, and delicate teacups, this tea party looks simply divine. I might even snag a few dainty finger sandwiches to refuel for the afternoon. It's the perfect place for afternoon tea, afternoon chats, and plenty of instagram-worthy moments!
Oh, my lovelies! It seems I'm falling a little behind in my writing as my Friday’s plan are so exciting. It's hard to stop myself when I’m so close to indulging in all this amazing food! My stomach is already rumbling.
No London trip would be complete without a West End show! Today’s pick is a little treat for the soul! It's an evening full of enchanting dance and captivating storytelling at the Savoy Theatre. This evening, I’m stepping back into the world of "Frozen," as they call it "Frozen" the Musical. I've seen all the movies, of course, so now it’s time to see what it's like on stage! This must-see West End show will be a feast for my eyes and ears. My dance-loving soul is already getting pumped for the grand finale!
As the evening rolls around, it's time to revisit my favorite London haunt – the opulent "Sketch" at Mayfair for a touch of glamour. Their vibrant, stylish atmosphere, and exceptional cocktail concoctions, make me feel like I've walked right onto the set of my favourite film. Just think, glitzy surroundings, delectable cocktails, and an incredible Parisian flair. How can I possibly resist?
With my Friday winding down, it's time to embrace a few essential rituals! First, I’m indulging in a luxurious soak in my favourite bath salts, then wrapping myself in a warm silk robe and enjoying a hot mug of chamomile tea while reading the latest fashion magazines. I've already picked out a fluffy, lavender-scented, hand-made bath bomb – the perfect touch to wind down. The final touches to my perfect evening are a luxurious hair mask and a glass of Pinot Grigio - the ideal blend of elegance and relaxation!
