Hello my lovely pink tutu lovers! Itās Friday, and you know what that means... cue the excited squeal... a new Pink Tutu Blog London post! I'm so excited to be sharing my adventures with you all. This week, I traded the peaceful Derbyshire countryside for the bustling heart of London, and let me tell you, it was an absolute dream!
Train Tracks and Tutu Dreams:
As I boarded the train from Derbyshire, my heart fluttered with anticipation. I always adore train journeys, especially those that whizz me to London. Something about the rhythmic clickety-clack and the rushing landscape just gets me in the mood for an adventure. I wore my newest pink tutu (a fabulous fuchsia this time) which was adorned with delicate, hand-sewn pink roses. It matched my blush-toned travel bag perfectly, of course, and the compliments from fellow passengers just fueled my girly spirit.
London Calling!: A Friday of Fashion and Fun
Arriving in London felt like stepping into a fairytale. The energy is just electric! I had a whole day planned to make the most of my London escapades, and my schedule was as jam-packed as my pink tutu suitcase!
A Ballet Boutique Adventure:
First on the agenda was a visit to the fabulous āEn Pointeā boutique in Kensington. This store is a dream for any ballet lover. From the most exquisite pointe shoes to adorable leotards and tutus galore, they had everything my ballerina heart could desire. I spent hours (okay, maybe just one!) browsing, trying on tutus (more on that later!), and picking out some exquisite accessories for my own performance next week.
Lunchtime Glamour:
After a delicious (and very pink!) strawberry milkshake and a scrumptious, delicately presented salad, it was time for the main event - the theatre! Iām a massive fan of London's vibrant theatre scene and was ecstatic to be attending a matinee performance of āThe Lion Kingā. It was everything I hoped for and more! The vibrant costumes, the phenomenal singing, the powerful choreography... it was an experience that I'll treasure forever.
Finding my Inner āTutu Girlā at Harrods:
Now, you can't have a Pink Tutu Blog London adventure without a spot of retail therapy, can you? Harrods was my next stop, and I simply had to indulge in some serious shopping! This iconic store always puts on a fantastic show, with its stunning displays and the most exclusive luxury goods you could imagine. My personal highlight was a magnificent pink tulle skirt (perfectly ruffled and shimmering, of course!) that I've just had to add to my tutu collection!
Street Fashion Inspiration and Evening Delights:
As the sun began to set, I wandered the streets of Soho, taking in the colourful, eclectic fashion and energy that's synonymous with this buzzing area. It felt magical as I admired the vibrant street art and took in the cityās evening atmosphere.
A Ballet Spectacular at the Royal Opera House:
The highlight of my evening, and probably the whole trip, was a performance of Swan Lake at the magnificent Royal Opera House. Words simply can't express the sheer elegance and breathtaking beauty of it all. The dancers were mesmerizing, the music was breathtaking, and the setting was pure opulence. My heart soared, and I felt inspired, a sense of true wonder enveloping me as I left the theatre.

And after a wonderful week of performing for the ballet, I am off to enjoy the gentle rolling hills and serene views. However, I can guarantee you, London will call me back to explore its streets and catch another magnificent ballet performance!
