Hello my darlings! It’s Friday, the 13th, and guess what? That’s not unlucky for me, it's absolutely fabulous! 💅💋 Why? Because I’m back in London, naturally in a pink tutu, and ready to sprinkle a bit of pink magic on this city!
A Tutu-licious Journey to London
The train journey up from Derbyshire was a treat, as usual! I always feel like I'm gliding through the countryside like a graceful swan in my tutu (minus the swan’s wings of course - imagine the chaos!), and I spent most of the journey sketching ideas for new tutu outfits for my ballet performance in a few weeks. It's amazing how even the most boring train journey becomes an adventure when you're adorned in a magnificent pink tutu!
Friday Frenzy in London!
The moment I arrived at Paddington Station, London’s energy just washed over me! I swear I could hear the city humming a lively waltz. It’s always so exciting! You see, there’s a magical rhythm to this city that never fails to put a spring in my step and a twinkle in my eye. I took a moment to admire the hustle and bustle – a sea of people, each going about their day. London is such a captivating whirlwind!
A Touch of the Theatrical: “Six” the Musical
Now, first on my list was something I've been eagerly waiting for! This week it's "Six" - the musical that has been all the rage. I'm a huge fan of historical musical theatre, especially when it gives a strong feminist message like this one. My darling friend Poppy managed to snag tickets, and it's a good thing she did, because they're so popular! It’s like a modern day reimagining of Henry the VIII’s six wives, told through their pop music hits! The show had me dancing in my seat and my tutu swishing to the music – the choreography was just divine!
A Tutu Shopping Spree at Liberty London
You can’t go to London without a shopping spree, can you? Now, my taste is a little flamboyant, but that's why Liberty London is a must for me. It's full of colour, and they're always selling these gorgeous unique and quirky finds – you wouldn’t believe the amazing patterned scarves and funky necklaces I found. I love the Liberty fabric – the print designs and textures are absolutely perfect for my new ballet outfits. I could have spent hours browsing their clothes and home decor - it’s like a fashion and art museum!
Ballet Class – Tutus and Twirls!
It wouldn’t be a perfect day in London without a visit to one of my favourite dance studios – the Pineapple Dance Studios! The energy at the studio is infectious! It's one of those special places where passion and creative expression take center stage. I have to say that London studios definitely know how to create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, and it’s all about the music and moving! Of course, my fellow ballerinas looked fabulous in their beautiful tutus – but honestly, who doesn't love a good tutu? (Seriously, you must give it a try! Trust me, it's all about feeling like a princess!). We went through our barre work, did some challenging contemporary and ballet steps. It was pure joy.
An Evening at the West End – “Frozen” the Musical
Now, if you're anything like me, you probably can’t go to London without a touch of theatrical magic, and that’s where “Frozen” at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane comes in! I’ve been dying to see this one! Everyone has been talking about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. The visuals, the costumes, and the sheer magic of the show had me whispering "Let It Go" under my breath – well, let's be honest, I was belting it out! The music is so captivating, and of course, I have to mention how magical Elsa looked in her ice blue dress! Honestly, I think it inspired me for my next Tutu outfit – it needs an icy blue touch! I'll have to see what magical embellishments I can add for extra sparkle.
Sunday Night Supper
You know what? After a day full of dancing and exploring, a delicious home-cooked Sunday night supper is all I need to recharge and relax! This week's menu is homemade roast chicken with creamy mashed potatoes and honey roasted parsnips. The whole house smelled amazing while I was in the kitchen prepping it! And I wouldn't be myself without a dessert to finish the perfect night! My grandmother’s apple crumble recipe, my personal favorite – with lashings of vanilla custard, naturally. It is the best!
Pink Tutu Musings
This weekend, London once again stole my heart. It’s just that magical combination of tradition, energy, and culture – there's always something going on to see, to feel, to inspire. There's something very special about seeing how everyone is inspired by their passions, from street performers in Hyde Park to the beautiful dancers in West End shows. London's never shy to express itself – it’s always so creative, full of vibrant colour and flair! The diversity here really adds something unique to everything from food and fashion to art and dance, and that’s why London has always felt like my home away from home. I simply feel at home here. I've learnt that whether you are in a dance class or watching a musical, shopping in the quirky boutiques of Liberty or simply enjoying a peaceful Sunday afternoon in Hyde Park, there is always something magical about exploring a city that has history written in its streets, and art in its heart!
And I know that the perfect sparkle and a pink tutu can add some magic to anyone’s life, so don't forget: embrace your inner sparkle!

A Peek Behind the Curtain: Finding My Passion & Sharing It with the World
Let's take a little peek behind the curtain of this Pink Tutu life, shall we? I know some of you might be curious about how I manage to do all of this - the dance performances, the travel, the writing and of course, the shopping!
It all started with a passion for ballet. As a child, the wonder of pirouettes and graceful leaps filled my heart. It was a world of music, beauty, and pure joy! Every rehearsal, every performance, became a journey into another dimension, a chance to express my inner creativity. As I got older, my love for ballet didn’t fade - instead, it evolved, becoming this strong force driving me to explore. So many things around ballet started to captivate me – from the artistry of the costumes, the glamour of the theater stage, to the wonderful fashion sense and style that you see all around the London theatre district.
This little ballerina journey started when I decided to combine my two passions – my love of ballet and writing! You see, there's just something magical about sharing those moments, that pure joy, that energy and the magic that ballet brings. When I put pen to paper, the stories start to flow! My dream is simple: to inspire others to embrace their passions, their inner creative selves. And you know, that often starts with a small act of self-expression – maybe putting on a bold outfit, going for a dance class, taking that leap into an artistic endeavor – whatever it is, I just want to encourage everyone to go for it.
So, here I am - sharing my little slice of life with you – the pink tutus, the fashion, the stories, the behind the scenes peek into a ballet world. But more importantly, sharing the joy of simply chasing those dreams, following that inner voice and getting to that special place where we feel like we truly can "be our own hero!"

Over the past years, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to perform at some incredible places – from small community theaters to breathtaking opera houses. I'm grateful for every single opportunity – because every performance is an invitation to share my passion, to create a shared experience with the audience. Every clap, every cheer, every standing ovation becomes a huge boost, fueling my next tutu adventure!
