Hello my dearest Tutu Tribe!
It's Friday, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Blog post! This week, I'm buzzing with excitement because I'm in London! I hopped on a train from Derbyshire bright and early this morning, all ready to explore the city and soak up the vibrant energy. It feels amazing to be back in this bustling metropolis!
I have to admit, I had to pull out the big guns for this London trip. My pink tutu of choice for this adventure is a magnificent tulle masterpiece with delicate lace details and a flowing, ethereal train. It's a definite "eye-catcher" and I already had several admiring glances on the train, along with some smiles from children who waved enthusiastically!
Speaking of smiles, it's Friday, and that means a new Pink Tutu Challenge! This week, I want everyone to try wearing a pink tutu for at least an hour today! Just imagine the joy it will bring - whether it's strutting around the office, doing some grocery shopping, or taking a leisurely stroll through your local park. You can even have some fun with it! Take a selfie and share it with the hashtag #PinkTutuFriday - let's make the world a little bit more sparkly!
My London Agenda
This week in London, I've got a jam-packed schedule filled with all the things I love! I'll be visiting some of my favourite London haunts, as well as trying out a few new places that have caught my eye.
Friday Fashion
My day started off with a much-needed coffee fix at a charming cafe nestled near Victoria Station. I love how the energy of the station gets everyone buzzing with the excitement of travel! Of course, I had to take a few selfies by the beautiful train platforms in my pink tutu. Then, it was off to a much-loved London destination โ Covent Garden!
This fabulous market always delivers! I wandered through the bustling stalls, mesmerized by the colourful displays of arts and crafts, street performers, and the enticing smells of delicious street food. I treated myself to a delicate little flower crown that complemented my pink tutu perfectly.
After a hearty afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream, it was time for a touch of indulgence. My Pink Tutu fashion budget is never too tight for a spot of high street shopping โ the sales here are just too tempting to resist.
I emerged victorious with two new tops, a gorgeous floral print skirt, and the perfect pink beret to complete my ensemble. Who doesn't love a little fashion therapy? And yes, you guessed it! All of my finds are perfect to be paired with my trusty pink tutus, for a whole new wave of Parisian chic.
London Culture & Performing Arts
The highlight of my Friday evening will be an unforgettable show! This Friday is extra special because it's a preview performance of Cinderella at the Royal Opera House โ one of my absolute favourite theatres in the entire world. There's just something magical about this venue that always gets me excited.
The grand theatre, with its ornate balconies and majestic stage, will set the perfect stage for this enchanting fairytale. Cinderella is a classic, and the artistry of the dancers in their exquisite costumes, combined with the powerful storytelling of ballet, always blows me away! I can't wait to be swept away by the beauty and the music of this performance.
It's truly amazing that I can fund all my fabulous trips like this one just by performing. I'm a passionate ballet dancer and I truly enjoy my performances โ there's such joy in bringing characters to life through movement. It's truly my passion and allows me to explore the world in a way I never thought possible!
Weekend plans
As much as I love exploring the hustle and bustle of London, I can't wait to find a lovely little nook to rest my weary feet this weekend! My schedule for tomorrow is packed with ballet class, followed by a delectable afternoon tea, of course! There is so much delicious tea culture in London and I am a huge fan!
Thereโs no better way to end a day of exploring London than a soothing afternoon tea experience. Imagine this: dainty sandwiches, fluffy scones with clotted cream, a selection of perfectly crafted finger pastries, and a pot of steaming hot tea. Pure bliss!
After my tea date, itโs time for the Royal Ballet Company at Covent Garden, with the world-renowned ballet production of The Nutcracker. I'm a total Nutcracker fan, the iconic music, the beautiful sets, the enchanting characters, and the beautiful choreography, it all combines for an absolute masterpiece of ballet theatre. I've always dreamt of dancing in this show, maybe one day!
On Sunday, Iโll have time to unwind and explore one of my favourite London areas โ Notting Hill! There's a charming village vibe with cute boutiques, cafes and a wonderful little bookshop that will be calling my name. This is also where I always get my latest issue of Vogue, always a joy to leaf through at the weekend!
The week ahead, promises more exciting adventures, and maybe, just maybe, some inspiration for new Pink Tutu fashion!
I can't wait to see what the next seven days bring. Be sure to check in with the Pink Tutu Blog every Friday for a fresh dose of fashion, fun, and all things pink! Until then, keep shining your bright tutu light and never forget that you can always wear a tutu in your heart!
*Keep smiling! *
Love,
Emma xx
