Hello lovelies! It's Emma, your resident pink tutu-wearing blogger, back with another installment of Pink Tutu Blog London! This week, I've traded the rolling hills of Derbyshire for the bustling streets of London, a city that always sets my heart aflutter. And what better way to explore this iconic city than in a beautiful pink tutu, naturally!
It's been a while since I last graced London with my presence. And today, the 14th of August 2026, was all about immersing myself in the city's vibrant arts and culture scene. And guess what? I managed to fit in a bit of ballet, a spot of shopping, and a delightful performance at the West End – all in one day!
The Magic of a Train Journey ??
This Friday started with a leisurely train journey from Derbyshire to London, a journey that always feels magical. I was fortunate enough to snag a window seat, and as I watched the English countryside speed past, I felt an undeniable surge of excitement for what the day had in store. My comfy first-class carriage even had a lovely little pink velvet armchair, and I must say, the matching pink table was quite the bonus! My day began perfectly - all those little pink touches were definitely a sign of great things to come.
My Tutu Debut at Covent Garden ??
Once in London, I felt like I had stepped into a fairytale! The city just hums with a joyful energy that makes you feel anything is possible. A taxi took me straight to Covent Garden, where I always feel so at home. It's the perfect place to people-watch, admire the architecture, and soak in the energy of the city. I think it's where the ballet gods truly reside! I found a spot by the fountain, where I enjoyed a delectable, (pink, of course!) cupcake.
I love spending time at the Royal Opera House, and I simply had to pop in and have a little look around. It's just such an iconic building, so grand and imposing, and the history within its walls just fills me with joy! The ballet class I took today at The Royal Ballet School was everything I could have hoped for - my tutu felt perfectly at home on the studio floor! ? I've been working on my pirouettes, and I'm so thrilled with my progress.
Shopping at Harrods ?️
A girl needs a good retail therapy session, especially when in London. Harrods was the perfect place to indulge in my inner shopaholic. The sheer extravagance of it all, those exquisite displays, and that glorious aroma of freshly-baked treats… simply magical! I couldn't resist a few new pieces for my wardrobe - some pink ballet shoes (because you can never have too many) and a charming pink tulle scarf, of course!
A West End Theatre Delight ?✨
After my shopping escapade, I decided to treat myself to a performance at the West End, where a magnificent play called "The Colour of Pink" was being performed at The Playhouse Theatre! The theme of the show resonated with my passion for pink and brought out the theatricality that truly delights my heart! The music was enchanting, the acting superb, and the final bow received a rousing ovation. I truly couldn't have asked for a more dazzling performance to end the day. It's the most vibrant expression of beauty, grace, and talent that I've seen for a while!
Embracing the Pink Life ?
I love my pink tutus. I'm obsessed with pink! I wear it everywhere. My wardrobe, my apartment, and my entire world have a soft, playful touch of pink. To me, pink is synonymous with femininity, joy, and creativity, and I believe every woman should embrace a touch of pink in their life! The world needs more pink, more colour, more joy, more dancing, more theatre! It’s a world I'd love to see - don't you?
