Ciao, darlings! It’s Emma here, back from the most fabulous trip to Milan! You won't believe the adventures I had, the shopping I did, and the divine ballet I witnessed! 🩰💖

Let me tell you, Italy is practically built for a Pink Tutu girl. Everywhere you look there's gorgeous architecture, stunning fashion, and of course, that Italian joie de vivre. It makes my heart sing!

Now, you might be thinking, “Milan, Emma? Is it all about fashion? Isn't it a bit too chic for a pink tutu?” But, darlings, let me tell you, Pink Tutu is NEVER out of place. Even amongst the designer boutiques and sophisticated cafes, the pink tutu cuts a dashing, eye-catching figure. After all, isn't pink all about daring to be different? And with a sassy twist of my own personal style, I find that I blend in perfectly in this fabulously fashionable city.

This week, I travelled by train – such a glamorous way to go – through the rolling hills of northern Italy. The countryside was so charming! It was a bit like travelling back in time, and it made me feel so inspired. As I whizzed past quaint towns and charming vineyards, my head buzzed with ideas for future blog posts. After all, fashion is everywhere, darling – even on the train! 😉

I was lucky enough to share a compartment with the sweetest Italian lady. We bonded over our love of opera, ballet and of course, our shared love for all things pink! It was so delightful, sharing tips for finding the most beautiful shops and chatting about the incredible dance performances happening all around us. It felt like I had already begun a whole new adventure just before reaching Milan!

The minute I stepped off the train and into the heart of Milan, I felt a jolt of excitement. The cobblestone streets, the ornate buildings, the buzz of activity – everything just screamed, “Emma, you've arrived! This city was made for you!”

And you know what else? It’s amazing for exploring by tram! I practically made it my personal catwalk. It was just perfect – window shopping as I travelled, observing the local life and soaking in the beautiful scenery. I must tell you, the tram is the perfect place to wear a pink tutu. You see the looks of pure delight and excitement when I enter! My fellow commuters adore the colourful spectacle! I think we can all agree that pink tutu + Italian charm = fabulous.

Speaking of the delightful Milanese locals, I had a hilarious encounter with a baker while browsing in the open-air markets. She absolutely adored my pink tutu, squealing in delight! She said, "What a beautiful vision you are!" Then, she presented me with the most delicious ciambella, a beautiful pink cake ring dusted with powdered sugar. I practically inhaled the thing on the spot!

Let's talk ballet! Now, you know I adore a good ballet, darling! Well, let me tell you, Milan's La Scala Opera House just blew my mind! The ornate decorations were straight out of a fairy tale, and the atmosphere was simply electric. You can just imagine how the tutus were twirling with perfection, dancing on stage in a haze of dazzling lights and enchanting melodies. I absolutely had to get myself a programme! They had a beautiful vintage feel with all sorts of interesting tidbits about the performances and performers.

And if you thought La Scala was amazing, wait until you see the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II! This is like a magnificent shopping mall, covered by a grand glass roof, and it's positively bursting with elegance. It’s the perfect place to browse the most beautiful fashion boutiques. They had the most beautiful display of elegant fabrics, colours, and designs - it's a feast for the eyes. And my favourite part? Well, it’s hard to choose, darling, but if I had to, it would be the exquisite collection of beautiful tutus they had on display! Talk about the perfect Instagrammable moment.

Oh, and the fashion, my dears! I bought the most incredible little pink dress with floral detailing. I couldn't resist a little souvenir to remember this trip. And of course, I found a shop that sells tutus for every occasion! Now that is a little shopping paradise.

• * Embrace the Tram: * It's a fabulously cheap and delightful way to explore the city. And the pinkest thing to do, I say!
• * Find your Inner Foodie: * The food is heavenly! Do try the risi e bisi - a simple but divine rice dish, or indulge in pizzoccheri - a comforting and filling buckwheat pasta. I find the Italians adore my pink tutu, and they’ll often make sure I have an extra sprinkle of pink sugar or pink gelato!
• * Visit La Scala: * Experience the magic of a world-class opera house, just beware, darling, this place can leave you speechless!
• * Take in the Gorgeous Galleria: * I don’t even have to tell you how much I adore a good gallery! Especially one with so much gorgeous fashion on display.
• * Wander Through the Parks: * Don’t miss the gorgeous green spaces in the city - a break from all the pink tulle shopping, I say! 😉

I wrapped up this magical trip with a divine picnic in the beautiful Parco Sempione. Imagine, the scent of Italian roses, the sound of chirping birds, the view of Milan’s skyline, all enjoyed with a delicious cheese and tomato sandwich… the dream! * Of course, my trusty pink tutu was in tow, twirling alongside me under the blue Italian skies. What a way to say *ciao to this magical city, isn’t it? I’ll be back in Milan again very soon. Until then, darling, keep the pink tulle flying!
