Pink Tutu Milan: #303 – 28th March, 2001 – A Week of Wonderful Wanderings! 🩰🇮🇹

Hello my darling Tutu-ettes! 💖 It's Wednesday, which means it's Pink Tutu Milan time! And what a week it's been! I've been dancing, twirling, and exploring all that Milan has to offer, and I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement to tell you all about it!

This week, the pink tutu has been taking on the city of Milan by storm! From the cobblestone streets to the grand piazzas, every corner I turned was a chance to sprinkle some sparkle and sunshine with a splash of pink. Honestly, the city feels even more magical when you're sporting a vibrant pink tutu - it just lifts your spirits!

From Ballet to Boutiques: A Week in Pink

I started my week with a phenomenal ballet performance at the Teatro alla Scala, which is truly a palace of the arts! Imagine this: marble floors, golden statues, velvet seats, and me – a shining pink tutu, gliding across the stage under the spell of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music. The energy was electric! There’s just something special about watching world-class dancers tell stories through movement – it’s art at its finest. Afterwards, I enjoyed a lovely meal of pasta and pesto with a glass of crisp Prosecco, savoring the rich Italian flavors and the warm atmosphere.

And what is a visit to Milan without some serious retail therapy? Of course, I had to indulge my love for fashion and spent a blissful afternoon scouring the boutiques on Via Monte Napoleone. There's nothing quite like trying on exquisite garments, dreaming about the outfits you’d love to have and dreaming about all the outfits I want to create for Pink Tutu!

Trams, Trains, and Ballet Dreams:

Speaking of dreams, my love for all things pink and tutu continues to fuel my wanderlust, and that's how I ended up hopping on a tram to explore the charming town of Bergamo! You can catch me on trams or trains more often than not - such a charming, practical and quick way to get about the city! Plus, they make such fabulous backdrops for photo ops with a little pink tutu, don't you think?

Once I arrived in Bergamo, I stumbled upon an open-air market. The stalls were overflowing with colorful fabrics, hand-painted ceramics, and delicious local delicacies. I felt like I'd stepped into a postcard - pure joy! I bought a little something special as a souvenir and can't wait to tell you all about it in a later post. And to top it off, there was a ballet class in a beautiful little studio overlooking a bustling piazza. Now, who can resist the temptation of a impromptu dance class with a gorgeous view? I’ve got to get this view into a tutu-tastic shoot at some point! The Italian energy, the passion for the art – it was an unforgettable experience.

Sharing the Pink Tutu Love:

One thing I love most about travelling is connecting with other ballet enthusiasts and sharing the magic of pink tutus. I met a group of young dancers who were visiting from Derbyshire (like me!) And we talked about the special bond between dancers and the joy of sharing our love for ballet with the world! It’s so fantastic to know that I’m not the only one out there who feels this way.

Onward to More Pink Tutu Adventures:

Milan, with its stunning architecture, lively energy, and delicious food, is the perfect backdrop for my pink tutu adventures! I’ve already made plans to visit more galleries, enjoy a performance of opera, and dive into the world of Italian fashion (oh, the amazing shoes, my darlings!)

But for now, I'll be enjoying a cup of steaming hot chocolate (maybe with a sprinkle of pink glitter - it wouldn't be me otherwise!) and planning for more adventures to come.

Stay tuned for my next blog post where I'll be sharing all about the amazing opera performance I'll be attending tonight! Until then, don't forget to twirl and spread some pink tutu love wherever you go!

Lots of love,

Emma 💖
