First things first, a quick update from the wardrobe department: I'm living it up in a stunning shade of fuchsia tulle, paired with a crisp white cotton blouse and a cute, cherry red satchel bag. It's a touch of playful sophistication that perfectly embodies the Milanese spirit - elegance with a playful twist! I mean, let's be honest, can a ballerina truly resist a splash of colour in her life?
And what better place to experience this glamorous spirit than on a sweltering Wednesday morning at Milan's Central Train Station? The energy is electric, with a mix of tourists and locals rushing to their destinations, and the smell of freshly brewed espresso wafting through the air. A little detour for a latte macchiato is definitely in order, followed by a spontaneous shopping spree at a nearby vintage clothing shop. I snagged the most darling pair of cherry-red, lace-up shoes that I just had to add to my collection. My tutu just wouldn't have felt complete without a pop of vibrant colour for my feet!
Speaking of shopping, today is also the day that the Milan Fashion Week kicks off! You can just feel the electricity buzzing in the air, as designers, fashion bloggers, and international celebrities gather in the city for the ultimate fashion feast. Even from afar, you can almost sense the excitement and anticipation, the creative energy, the thrill of unveiling the newest collections!
But before I lose myself in the dazzling world of couture, let's get back to the heart of what I'm here for - ballet, darling! This afternoon, I was treated to the most divine performance at the Teatro alla Scala, which, in my opinion, is hands down the most gorgeous opera house in the world! It's a testament to the sheer grandeur and elegance of Milan. I'm still floating from the pure artistry of the show - every gesture, every leap, every delicate extension, executed with such precision and passion. You could feel the emotion radiating from the dancers, and it washed over the audience like a tidal wave. Truly, it was magical!
