Pink Tutu Milan #877: Ciao Bella! Fashion, Fun, and a Touch of Pink in Milano!

Buongiorno from a sun-drenched Milan, my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, Emma, here, and this week's adventure takes us to the stylish streets of Milano. This magical city truly has it all: captivating culture, breathtaking architecture, and a whole lot of fashion-forward fabulousness – just like me, obviously! 💅💖

I landed in Milan yesterday, feeling like a proper ballerina princess, naturally. It wouldn't be a proper trip without a touch of sparkle, and let me tell you, my new blush-pink tutu, with its shimmering tulle and delicate ribbon bows, really did steal the show. I mean, who can resist a little bit of pink magic, especially in the fashion capital of the world?

After settling into my charming little apartment in the heart of the city, I couldn't resist hitting the streets for a good old-fashioned, girly shopping spree. And you know what they say, "when in Milan…" wink. Oh, my lovelies, this city is a haven for the fashionistas! From high-end boutiques to charming little vintage shops, every corner held a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Now, I'm not going to lie, my wallet took a bit of a hit, but let's just say, my suitcase is positively brimming with chic, Parisian-inspired outfits that scream "Emma!" My little pink tutu got a couple of stylish updates too, naturally! (And it even inspired a fabulous new pair of pale pink suede ballet pumps - divine!).

I discovered the most charming vintage shop called La Rosa Vintage, a true treasure trove of vintage glamour and timeless elegance. I picked up a beautiful silk scarf with a delicate floral print that I absolutely adore, and let me tell you, it will definitely make an appearance in my upcoming performances. Don't worry, darlings, I'll keep you updated on the "Emma-fied" versions!

A Whirl of Culture and Creativity

Milan isn't just about fashion though. You know your girl loves her culture! So, naturally, I booked myself a ticket to the Teatro alla Scala. I mean, you can't go to the city of opera without taking in a show!

The Teatro is a real sight to behold, a majestic palace of opera with ornate balconies, gold leaf detailing, and a captivating aura that had me spellbound.

I spent the evening immersed in a performance of Verdi's La Traviata, a truly captivating story of passion, love, and a heartbreaking sacrifice. The orchestra played with such emotion, the singers possessed breathtaking voices, and the costumes were nothing short of spectacular. The whole experience left me feeling incredibly moved and utterly inspired.

A Ballet Bounding Break

I’m not all about the high-fashion, my darlings! It wouldn't be a proper #PinkTutuMilan adventure without some time in the ballet studio. This week, I’m lucky enough to be in Milan for a ballet masterclass at the esteemed Accademia di Danza. Imagine: dancing with professional ballet dancers, surrounded by an array of gorgeous tutus in the heart of Italy. This is definitely what ballet dreams are made of!

Speaking of dancing, my journey here took me on a rather delightful tram ride from the bustling Centrale station to my neighbourhood, just outside the Duomo. I felt like a little pink fairy in a magical ballet, watching the vibrant city unfold in all its glory! There's something about tram rides that brings out my inner romantic and fuels my desire to wear a tutu everywhere I go. I know, it's a bit bonkers, but hey, it's the little things that make life fabulous, right?

Milan by Moonlight

Yesterday, as dusk began to settle and cast a warm glow on the city, I couldn't resist taking a romantic walk through the sprawling Parco Sempione, a breathtaking green oasis in the heart of the city. It's the perfect place to unwind and watch the cityscape shimmer under the starry sky.

And of course, my trusty pink tutu joined me for the walk. Imagine: the wind playing with the tulle, the twinkle lights of the city, and me, gracefully pirouetting amongst the fountains. If only you could all see the smiles it brought to passerbys! Maybe I need to work on some elaborate street performances. Watch this space…

Foodie Adventures

One can't talk about Milan without mentioning the food. Oh, my lovelies, the pastries, the pizzas, the gelatos! My tastebuds are singing. I spent my Sunday morning savouring a warm croissant, its buttery layers melting in my mouth, and let me tell you, I am on a mission to find the most incredible gelato in the city!

Speaking of delectable delights, let's take a minute to appreciate the Italian fashion for pasta! A bowl of beautifully made pasta just feels so wonderfully luxurious. Tonight, I'll be trying my hand at a traditional Neapolitan pizza making class! I can already feel the warmth of the oven, smell the delicious oregano, and hear the happy bubbling of the tomato sauce! Don't worry, darlings, I'll be sure to share all the tips and tricks for a perfect pizza experience with you!

Sharing the Pink Tutu Magic

This whole experience has reinforced why I do what I do – it's about the joy of inspiring people, celebrating beauty in all its forms, and finding that inner sparkle! Each city I visit, every adventure I embrace, it's all about sharing my passion for ballet, fashion, and yes, of course, the exquisite magic of the pink tutu.

After all, you don't need to be a ballerina to embrace your inner twirl, darling. Remember, the world is your stage, and a pink tutu is the perfect way to make a grand entrance! I truly believe that there is a pink tutu waiting for each of you – and just maybe, a tiny bit of magic will come along for the ride!

Now, off to a breathtaking evening performance at the Teatro dal Verme, followed by some exquisite cocktails! 🥂

Until next week, stay fabulous and don't forget to shine, my darlings!

Ciao Bella!
