Pink Tutu Milan: Post #971 – Ciao Bella! 🇮🇹

Hello darlings!

It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, signing in from the dazzling city of Milan! 🩰

Can you believe it's Wednesday already? It feels like just yesterday I was pirouetting around Derbyshire, dreaming of my Italian adventure. And now here I am, knee-deep in gorgeous fabrics, mouth-watering pasta, and the most exquisite ballet shows you could imagine.

Today is Wednesday, 15th January, 2014, and Milan is bursting with life! The sun is shining, and I've just hopped off the tram (oh, how I adore the elegance of Italian trams, they really are a symphony in motion!), after a delicious lunch of creamy carbonara at this cute little cafe near the Duomo. The Duomo, by the way, is just magnificent! It’s like a gigantic, intricate lacework wedding cake with all these sparkling spires reaching for the sky. I might just sit and draw it all afternoon, it’s that impressive!

Speaking of lace, I have been absolutely spoilt for choice at the boutiques in Milan. This city is truly a haven for a fashionista like myself! There are so many independent designers here, with clothes that are breathtakingly beautiful and unique. Yesterday, I even found a pink silk dress with a matching scarf that I just had to have! Imagine, my darling readers, a dress that complements my signature pink tutu - it's pure perfection! 💕 I think I just died and went to sartorial heaven!

Oh, but you know what else I found? This adorable little pink hat with a tulle bow that just makes me think of ballerinas. Honestly, I'm absolutely smitten. Of course, I have already taken photos of it to share with you, and I promise to post a proper fashion blog next week, featuring my entire Milan shopping haul!

And of course, no trip to Milan is complete without experiencing the city's vibrant ballet scene! You know I love a good performance, and here in Milan, I've truly been living my ballet dreams!

On Sunday, I went to the beautiful Teatro alla Scala – I've been wanting to see this legendary theatre for years. They were performing Romeo and Juliet, and I was absolutely enthralled. The passion, the drama, the beautiful music, it just took my breath away! They even had the most spectacular pas de deux in the second act, featuring some stunning lifts and amazing turns.

Speaking of ballet, have you been practicing your arabesques and à la secondes? Remember to always keep those leg extensions high, darling, it makes the entire pose so much more graceful. The more elegant and feminine, the better, right? And a little reminder - it's important to have fun while you’re practicing. Remember to tap into that joy and let it radiate through your movements. Because in the end, isn’t it all about the joy of expressing yourself through the beautiful art of ballet?

My biggest goal is to spread the joy and beauty of ballet to the whole world! I’m even working on my "Wear a Pink Tutu Day" - it’ll be a day of celebration where everyone gets to twirl in a pink tutu! How brilliant is that? Just imagine, it could happen. A sea of pink tutus in every corner of the globe – it’s a wonderful vision. Isn't it? 🥰

Well, it’s time for me to enjoy some Italian gelato, followed by another day filled with cultural treasures, delicious food, and even more pink tutu inspiration. I'll share more of my Milan adventures with you next week, but for now, keep practicing, stay radiant, and always embrace your inner ballerina! 💕

Sending you lots of twirls and love from Milan! 🩰

See you next Monday, on www.pink-tutu.com!

Until then,

Your Emma! 💖

P.S. Have you got a pink tutu already? If not, then get on it! There's no excuse for not embracing this gorgeous ballet fashion trend! 💖 🩰

P.P.S I’ve found the best shop in Milan for all your pink tutu needs! It's a little secret, and I can't reveal it yet! 🤫 But trust me, you’ll want to get your tutu on as soon as you visit! 😉
