It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, and I'm here to bring you all the sparkle and enchantment from the fashion capital of the world, Milan, Italia! I’ve finally touched down after my whirlwind ballet performance tour through Tuscany – yes, I’ve been dancing my little heart out amidst rolling hills and vineyards!
It’s been such an adventure – think Tuscan sunshine, delicious pasta lunches, and dancing under the stars, all whilst twirling in my favourite pink tutu! The energy of those Italian audiences, their warm applause and vibrant spirit - I’ve soaked it all up, feeling every bit the blushing ballerina.
But back to Milan.
Now, I don't want to give you all a sneak peek into my upcoming show here - I need to save some surprises, don't I? However, I can't help but share a little teaser...
I'm performing with the esteemed "Teatro alla Scala", a venue that makes me feel like a princess stepping into a fairy tale! It's every ballerina’s dream! I can already feel the buzz in the air, the excitement bubbling over, like a cup of hot, creamy cappuccino! And let’s face it, no performance is complete without my trusty, darling pink tutu - a must-have accessory for a blushing ballerina like me.
My Journey to Milan
Let's talk trams. Milan's tram system is like a waltz of transport! I absolutely love zipping around on these red beauties. They're clean, stylish, and they allow me to soak in the Milanese vibe! From cobbled streets to bustling squares, the tram takes you right into the heart of it all. I've already sought out some cute little cafes to take a tea break (with my pink tutu of course!), each one radiating charming Milanese charm.
One of the first things I do when I arrive in a new city is to search out the local ballet schools! The art of dance is universal, and there's something so invigorating about watching dancers practice their craft - a constant reminder that dedication and passion go hand in hand! I’ve just attended a stunning ballet class - you know, a little bit of 'plie' here and a 'pas de bourre' there - and you’ve got the perfect Milanese ballet experience!
My Fashion Adventures
Of course, being in Milan is like being in a dream world for any fashion lover! From the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with its breathtaking architecture, to the dazzling fashion houses showcasing their latest creations, there's simply a buzz about this city.
This afternoon, I spent a lovely afternoon wandering through some vintage boutiques, on the hunt for the perfect outfit for tonight's opening night! Think bold fabrics, chic styles, and of course, that perfect sprinkle of pink that elevates any look. Finding the right accessory for a pink tutu is like finding a treasure! And trust me, in Milan, I’m spoilt for choice! A pink velvet handbag perhaps, a pair of shimmering silver heels, a little something sparkly to make the tutu truly sing.
Exploring The City of Art
You simply cannot come to Milan without visiting the majestic Duomo. That awe-inspiring cathedral, a feast for the eyes, its intricate details and Gothic architecture leave you breathless. You can practically feel the energy radiating from this masterpiece - truly a work of art that takes your breath away!
Today, however, I'm on a quest for a certain vintage shop I spotted on my trusty travel map. The shop has been in Milan for over a hundred years! The rumour is, they have a dazzling array of balerinas, silk ribbons, and feathers - exactly the kind of treasures a pink tutu loving ballerina needs in her life! It’s tucked away in a secret, little back street, waiting to be discovered - just like a secret jewel in the crown of Milan! I can't wait!

*P.P.S: * On October 11th, 2017, it was the annual Milano Marathon! You know how much I love a little bit of sport! Who knows, maybe I’ll have a go at it next year, with a tutu of course!
